Ok well my PS2 wasn't working, and I found some thing on google that told me how to fix it. Well when you take the cover off, the buttons you press to turn it on and ejest the disc have this ribbon connected to them that goes into the machine. Well your not supposed to let it disconnect, but the cover fell, and the ribbon of wire came out out of the PS2. And I've been searchin google and Yahoo and all that other crap for the past hour and I can't find anything on how to fix it. So I was wondering if this happened to anyone and if they know how to fix it. So please help me out.

Okay, here's how you fix it.

Take it to the repairman.

If there are no repairmen, close it back up, take it to a pawn shop or such, and sell it. Make sure to get away fast with that money.

I have friends who work at a local PS2 call center. They say that if you just give tech support a call and tell them what's up, they'll fix it for free so long as you mail it to them.

Ok heres what you do:

Climb on top of your roof/garage/shed, and spike that sony piece of shit to the ground. Then go buy yourself a nice xbox, or kick ass gaming pc.

That's not true. I sent mine in to be fixed and I told them I had opened it to clean the inside. But since you fucked it up further than it already was, I'm not sure they'll still fix it. But it's worth it to call and ask. Try sounding like an upset customer who's disappointed and frustrated in the quality of the PS2 like I did.
And oh yea my PS2 was well past the warranty and I bought it used, so I didn't even have a receipt.
I think they have been more lenient recently on fixing them, because they have been breaking down like crazy and pissing people off.
