My xbox

Ok I want to buy fable,but I can't buy it beacuse when I try to play a game on my xbox this is what it says:

Your xbox can't recognize the disc.Make sure it's an xbox game,DVD movie,or an audio CD.Also check to see if the disc is dirty or damaged.Remove the disc to continue.

I did everything that it said and now it is fucking messed up.Does anyone on this forums know what the problem is?Instant message me if you know the problem coppertop91.

your disk reader is messed up either from putting sumthing you shouldn have into it, dropping it or just a bad model, theres not much you can to but if you have a waretee then take it back but idk what else you can do.

I think the lens reader popped out of place beacuse every time I used to watch my brother play he would slam it or throw the contoroller at it but I am still not sure.DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!

if you feel sure of your left you can open it up and correct the lense but then your warrentee would be void, and then if you can fix it your stuck with a broken xbox. thats all i can tell you, hoped it helped. :confused:

Punch your brother in the face, then try opening the xbox (the screws are under the rubber feet on the bottom) and cleaning all of the dust out of it or look for broken parts. BE CAREFUL when disassembling it.

I'm guessing you damaged the reader. Thats the only logical answer. Either that or you shit all over your CDs. I think I'm going with my first guess though :D

Well luckilly, unlike the PS2, the Xbox is basically a PC and it's easy to replace the CDrom.
You could try heading over to forums.xbox-scene.com, and go to the buy and sell forum to see if anybody is selling a drive.
