Personally I love alot of the old favourites, One, For Whom The Bell Tolls, The Unforgiven, The Unforgiven II, And Justice For All, Harvestor Of Sorrow, Master Of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, The Memory Remains...

Metallica totally lost their style in St Anger, which was disappointing. I always felt they had a very majestic style, heavy metal that commanded respect. St Anger turned more into a rushed pop job, almost like they felt they had to change.

Fade to Black, For Whom the Bells Tolls, Fuel, Enter Sandman, Unforgiven...pretty much anything by them is good.

i wasn't trying to disprove your case :) but either way, yeah, everyone does like at least one Metallica song.

Call of Ktulu (especially the S&M version, with that huge build up into Master of Puppets, that was ridiculous)

Damn I could go on forever. I went and saw them in concert with Godsmack in May. Metallica played for nearly 3 hours and there were still songs they could have played, that's one of the great things about them.

2. Favourite Metallica song is Enter Sandman or Master of Puppets. If your a Metallica fan download some "Apocalyptica" they're a band of celloists (sp?) that do covers of Metallica. No lyrics but great nonetheless.

3. St. Anger sucked balls.

Pretty much anything before the Black album is great. After that they suck. I would put their most recent stuff on the same shittyness level as Slipsnot.

I think the best opening to any of their songs is "Whereevr I May Roam". That Middle-Eastern guitar sound into the pounding drums is absolutely amazing.

Wherever I may roam is one of my favorite for sure. I also like Until It's sleep.

I'm going there on the 4 of october in montreal!!!! I am just expecting the best show in my life :P
