wma to mp3?

alright... well my freind ripped the Used cd to my computer (kicks total ass) and now my other freind want's me to burn it for them, but it won't let me because when i go to burn it it cannot read it or something??? yeah... i have no idea what i'm talking about... can anyone help?

only thing i can think of is changing the file to an mp3 format
