Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have some favorite bands that are fairly unknown, yet really good....the only one I know of is Boy Hit Car, if you can download Man Without Skin and As I Watch The Sun Fuck The Ocean...

Heh, how about everyone in the indie rock scene? Indie rock is where the talent is hiding in the shadow of talentless crap that's somehow found its way to mainstream. Unfortunately, it's also a place where a lot of half-assed shitty bands try and make up for their lack of talent by dressing like emo girlie men. So I guess it's really hit or miss come to think of it. Anyways, check out:
The Moldy Peaches
Red Letter M (I played with them in Cali, they're very good players)

If you're into hardcore stuff, I'd check out As Cities Burn, Fear Before the March of Flames, and Haste The Day.

Boy Hits Car is kind of heavy-ish, so you might be interested in a bit of lesser-known metal. :D
Holymarsh - Great Korean melo death band, my personal favorite of the genre. "In The Holymarsh" has a lot more guitar emphasis and melody, but if you're more of a fan of (old) In Flames-ish kind of stuff, check out "Infliction Ov The Morbid Intention".
Intestine Baalism - Japanese mixture of standard death and melo death. Fucking awesome band, get "Banquet In The Darkness".
Boris - A really spazzy doom band. They are really eccentric and change from album to album. "Heavy Rocks" is my favorite, personally. It's just great fun to listen to.
As MG mentioned before, Arsis. Great band.
Check out Disillusion, too. Their first album was this year, it's called "Back To Times Of Splendor".

Have you seen the skate movie Sorry? They're in there. There's another band in there called Gray Matter. They're a really good 80's punk band.

Mnemic. They are from Sweden and they kick ass. If you like Fear Factory and In Flames, you'll love them. www.mnemic.com
Element Eighty. They have a song on Need For Speed: Underground, but most people don't even know who they are. www.elementeighty.com
Dope. They've sorta made it big, but still not many people know who the fuck they are.

They are real and official, but it's really hard to find their cds, knowing that barely any people have ever heard of them.
