same, just a hobby. Ive only been playing for a year and a half but ive put alot of time into it, and im pretty damn good now. If I keep putting 5 hours+ a day in, then I hope it can turn out to be something more than a hobby.

i've been playing guitar for about 5 years now. best random decision of my life. just one day i told my mom "let's go get me a guitar" and that was that.

also been playing keyboard for a few months, but that wasn't an option in the poll. i've found that keyboard is easier to pick up than guitar, but maybe that's because i've already got a few years of musical experience under my belt.

anyway, if anyone cares to listen, here's some stuff i did. song5 and song7 were shortly after i got my keyboard. was mostly just messing around...

I've been playing my bass for about a year and a half. I just got an electric guitar off e-bay that I'm going to learn to play. And I've had an acoustic guitar since I was like 6 but I never picked it up. I also used to play the trumpet in my grade achool band, but I gave that up two years ago.

I've been playing guitar for quite a while now. Still not that great. I still have a Stratocaster due to me being poor. Saving up for a new Jackson Dinky. I guess I can decently play drums. I play a lot when I jam with one of my drummer friends.

for the past two years ive been trying to sign up for guitar lessons at my local music place but ive always arrived too late, there was no place for beginners. i own a small acoustic guitar which isnt even tuned. anyone know of a good website that can teach me the basics? (especially tuning my guitar)

If you dont know the basics, Im not going to bother telling you how to manually tune it. You can use an electric tuner, and that should get it exact until you develop a music ear. For the first 3 or 4 months you play, your probably going to be really bad. Thats normal. Start with barre chords before you do normal ones. Good luck.
