I've actually played the record backwords. Fun stuff. If you play one of the Pink Floyd records backwords (i forget which one) it says "Congradulations, you have found the secret message." If you play Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" backwords, it says "It's fun to smoke marijuana." :p

Hurley, I could give you "proof". I have Led Zeppelin 4 and downloaded Stairway to my computer. With a program called Goldwave (which you can download here (http://www.goldwave.com)) that you can reverse stuff with, I played it and found the file was real. But I still think backward masking is psychological.

To me the backwards masking on Stairway to Heaven is really hard to tell. I could not pick out the lyrics when it was played backwards before I read the lyrics.

Backmasking is purely coincidental in my opinion. Though in some cases it has been intentional. Yes, there is some weird shit in backmasking, but it's one of those unexplained things. Kind of like the dark side of the moons relation to the Wizard of Oz. Yes it works, but it's just a coincidence.
