I honestly don't know the awnser to this riddle/joke, I was wondering if someone here did.

If Muhammed can paint a house in 2 hours and Joaquin can paint a house in 5 hours, how long will it take them to paint a house together?

Yeah, that's not a riddle, it's a math problem. I remember doing those in grade 9.

I just did it, and I believe Vibe was wrong.

M's work rate is 1/2 and J's is 1/5. You add them because they both will be working, and get 7/10 as their combined work rate.

You know that a variable "n" multiplied by the work rate equals one (for one house), so you get:

7n
10 = 1

Multiply 10 on both sides to get 7n=10.

Divide to get n=10/7

Then, it is approximately n=1.43


.43 of 60 minutes is 25.8 minutes, and .8 of a minute is 48 seconds.


Thus, the answer is 1 hour, 25 minutes, and 48 seconds.

the 1 hour 25 minutes and some is rite.

if the painting surface is 100 feet, they can paint the house at 70 feet/hr.
then the final 30% is divided by 70.
