How the heck do you play this game? I tried everything and the cow (it's not a dog, like the front page says) just keeps heading into the wall.

did you try dragging the arrows into the path of the cow

thats right, just drag the arrows from the right onto the grid.
a little hard to figure out because the thing is all in german.

Yeah, like level one would be this (http://img64.exs.cx/img64/9023/cow6.jpg) (I dont know why the url has cow6, but its level one)
