For a while now I have been having some problems with javascript and windows media player however I dont think the problems are linked.

When Im on a webpage and it has a link that uses javascript to open it i cannot click it ( i can but it wont open). Also some pages that are entirely java based wont show up at all. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Also with my windows media player I have tried re-installing but everytime i try to open a wmp or wmv file it will not start up and gives me " an internal application error has occured" and the program shuts down. Anyone have any idea whats goin on here?

Thanks.

i would think it is a driver problem, i could tell you reinstall all of your drivers, but that is a pain in the ***, SOO...
Try renstalling WMP to actually make this post helpful, here is the link>> WMP (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=34680)

About the javascript problem... you might just need to reinstall java. Try Java Virtual Machine from here (http://java.com/en/index.jsp). Just click the yellow "Get It Now" button at the top right.

The WMP problem sounds to me like a driver problem. To get the new drivers you can either go to the WMP website and download the newest drivers, or just run a windows update. The update should pick up that you have old drivers and recommend you get the newest ones, but if it doesn't pick it up you'll have to do it manually from the WMP site.

I hope these help. If they don't work, post here and I could try to think of something else to help fix the problem.

Thanks guys... the java problem is not running javascript (like the chat on ebaums main page) but when clicking a link that uses javascript. so I dont know what the problem is.

And for the WMP problem dl'ing from the site didnt work and I think it might be a driver problem as I said but im not sure what to do.. :help:
