Dvd player broke..

Hey guys, I'm wondering if any of you can help me with my portable dvd player. It's an Audiovox/Eddie Bauer (not sure what model) and it shows the video and audio and all, but with the video it always gets brighter. The brightness dial doesn't do anything so I have to reset the player by closing it (making it black) and then opening it back up. I don't know why its doing this but can anyone help? Basically, it just always slowly gets brighter and I cannot change it. Help?

Got a multi tester ? Check the voltage coming out of the power supply...It might be fluctuating. That little LCD screen is going to take the biggest hit...It eats the most power...

just lookin for some help, thought i'd go here. No, i tried goin back to where i got it but they will charge 100$. and why the hell can't i post this here? its the Everything/Nothing forum ya ass. Just want some help, maybe someone knows somethin about DVD players
