does anyone know a site that will send the ringtones thru a text message of some sort.....i just need a way to get them on my phone without using the mobile internet thing.....they dont seem to exist anymore..... :help:

You are in luck my friend. There is a program out that changes any Mp3 to a ringtone. Then it sends you the song through a text message.

It depends on what you're looking for, what phone, service etc.

I had Cingular, with a pathetic little monophonic ringer, and found some decent free ringtones at:

www.2thumbswap.com

I just got a new phone though, so now I'm looking for some good free polyphonic ringtones, if they exist somewhere...anybody?

Not that anybody couldn't have found these using Google, but this might save somebody the pain of figuring out which sites are duds, and which ones aren't. You don't have to have the same service and phone as I to use these, but I'm on Cingular, with a Motorola v400.

I used WAP to get ringtones, games and wallpapers for the following sites:

www.zedge.no (good all around cell phone acces. site...)
free-ringtones.eu.com (got most of my ringtones here)
www.rousso.net/main.html (huge source of java games)

edit: the rousso website doesn't look like your typical cellphone freebie site, and takes a relatively long time to load the entire index of games they have, but the games are worth it. I recommend doing the free registration to get access to hundreds of games.

if anyone knows how to get ringtons for a samsung a650 that would help me out. im gonna try that mp3 converter thing.
im on verizon too

EDIT: that sucks. my phone isnt supported by like, any ringtone things from the internet. i have to buy them from those gay programs that you get on the phone.
