I started doing it, but realized crap man this takes too much time. Then i stopped.

Just don't post a crappy 30 second video that makes no sense and has timing off and what not... i hate when people do that.

One of the best flash tutorial sites I have ever seen is flashkit (http://www.flashkit.com). It has tutorials from everything to beginners to layering to motion tweening. If you can think of it, it's most likely there. Just click on tutorials, and you're in business. The site even has a section where you can submit you flash and get comments on it, sort of like newgrounds, but not filled with so many jerks.

Not to rain on your parade... But the program you're looking for is flash MX. Its the photoshop of flash animation.. Ive been messing with it for about 6 months and all i knw how to do is make simple click commands... Its a bitch... Like my mother....

You can get Flash MX off Kazza, unless your willing to fork over $200 to a store that sells it. Then you have to get good. Trust me, you wont make anything worth watching until you've used flash for about a year. I have used it for 3 years and I barely can use it right. It isn't as glamorus as it looks. To be honest, it sucks. Action script never works the way you want it. Unless you have A LOT of free time, I suggest you stay away from Flash. It will suck you into a hole.

you don't need macromedia flash mx to create flashes (swf)... SWF is shockwave....Fla is flash and now if you want to be ultra cool youd get mx 2004 and you can get it dirt cheap if your a student macromedia offers kick ass educational discounts and if your just wanting to do animation all you need to learn is the drwing tools the time line simle action script (goto stop play stuff like that) and which tween to use .... its action scripting thats a bitch

No, I actually know it well. Its just that if you are just starting it takes a while. When I said I could barely use it right, I was just using an overstatement describing how much effort you need to put in to make a decent flash animation. I don't really have a lot of time, so yea.
