St Louis bit us in the ass, he was good when he was in Calgary too, but whats his face the gm before Button let him go, that was a hell of a run the Vancouver series was my favorite, all the series were awesome cept for the finals scince we lost. There was the game six contraversy were that one angle shows the goal. Everytime i see pictures or clips from the finals it makes me sad. I cant wait for the NHL to get going. I wanna see how the Flames will do. They lost Conroy and traded Gauthier and Saprykin for Langkow, we'll miss em but oh well Conroy sold out to L.A. its 2 bad for the other 2, Langkow's a good all rounder, and Pheanuf will fill Gauthier's shoes, plus he scores goals, we still gotaa sign Iginla. I hate Manchester United bcoz 90% of their fans are glory hunting bastards who know nothing about football/ soccer and have never even been to Manchester nevermind Old Toilet (Old trafford, Man U's stadium) what pisses me off is when so called "United fans" try and have a footballing argument bcoz they talk shit and most of them would probably struggle to name 11 United players.

Oh, I don't hate the national soccer team so much as I hate the MLS. Because it is lame. Although I should support them, now that I think about it, then maybe someday American soccer will get as good and exciting and respected as European soccer. Someday.

You can't really hate on them, they are still infants compared to European soccer. Also, Europe has only soccer as a major sport, maybe Rugby and Basketball in some countries. In the U.S. we have Basketball, Baseball and Football. It just needs some time, I think the level of play is improving and there is enough quality players to represent the national team at the World Cup. The expansion this season is not going to help in overall play and quality, but it will help in improving fan base. In time, the level of play will improve and I think the league should hold off expansion until the quality has improved to a level where expansion wont hurt the quality too much. It's not fair to compare MLS to European soccer, because they have had over a hundred years of league play, while the MLS is at about 10 seasons. European teams are making a shitload of money and can spend money on quality players, while the MLS can't sign the best players in the world. This isn't what the thread is about, so I'll quit now, but root and follow the national team, especially during the World Cup.
