I did other,Andrew Raycroft Boston Bruins, he did so good last year and he was only a rookie, that showed in the playoffs, thats why they lost because of his inexperience, he will only get better in the years to come.

Martin Brodeur is my favorite because he plays on the Team canada

I voted other;
though I really wanted to Martin Brodeur I had to say
Vladislav Tretiak, he played for the CCCP Army, this guy was insane, most folks in Canada still talk about the Summit on Ice in 72.

At least he got his medicine in 1980 by a band of US college kids. (I think Tretiak was pulled prematurely myself......huge mistake that may have cost those commies the game.)

No offense to Giguere, but he has no business being on this list at all. Like Chewy, I'd go with Tretiak (at least of those goalies I've read about). Too bad he never got to show his stuff on the NHL scene.

I voted Roy. I'm a Coloradan, fan of the Avs since they came here. And we have the same first name. and 33 is my favorite number.

Kippursoff (ehh mispelled...)
He used to be the second goalie for the Sharks, and i saw him a few times at a game. He's really good, and really shined playing on the Calgary Flames.

Kiprisoff is a whicked goalie but even though im a Flames fan hes not one of the greatest just yet. Id have to go with Roy and Vernon.

The Dominator!!!

Go Wings!!!! ............ :(

Though Roy is/was/whatever incredible, Hasek was the one that made goalies into acrobats... The Dominator all the way

Guy Lafleur? Played right wing not goal.

The best performance I ever saw was Curtis Joseph while with the St Louis Blues. I remember him facing like 60 odd shots and he only let in a couple of goals.

The dominator? All he does is flop around like a damn moron. Anyone can do that.... but he did have his moments.

I voted belfour... but thats because im a leafs fan

Dan is not the greatist goalie but he brings a special something (http://www.espnhockey.net/downloads/filesystem/index.php?action=downloadfile&filename=Sammy Salo vs. Dan Cloutier.mpg&directory=Miscellaneous&PHPSESSID=9b9cd15f454dbf3d04a8dfe5e3ea2998) to the game.

I think that Marc -Andre Fleury is someone to keep an eye on in the next couple of years.

I feel so bad for Tretiak. He was born too early and was a victim of politics. The best they could do was make him a colonel in the Soviet army. If he came around today he'd be filthy rich and dating models.

Of modern goalies, I'd have to say Brodeur or Roy. Both are so good that it's scary.

Can't believe Terry Sawchuk wasn't on the poll...would have got my vote....

Yeah I'd have to agree as much as I like Roy's style in the pipes I can't get over how much he whined. I saw a special on TSN not too long ago about French Goalies, there something in the water in Québec, they seem to produce some of the best Goal tenders in the game per capita.
Another guy to keep an eye on is Kelly Guard (http://www.chl.ca/CHLNews0203/0116.html). He's pretty hot but is not all that motivated, if he makes it to the NHL, I think he will, he'll be on the next poll to see who's the best.

man, i started this thread and i still didnt tell u who i voted for... I picked Patrick Roy, that guy was one the best goalies i've ever seen, Belfour is still good but he gets hurt too much. Brodeur, man that guy just gets better and better every single game. Hasek shud retire soon he's been around for a long time, same with belfour he couldnt take another season (if there is gonna be one soon) with the leafs shitty defence. i dont know why i put J.S Guiguire on the bloody list... :banghead:

Martin Brodeur has kept NJ a good team for many years. A great play off goalie and he's been leading Canada for the longest time. Surely he is one of the greatest.

Hasek has an attitude...Hes good i will admit, but he pulls shit out of his ass. Every time he falls the first thing he does it look for the puck...pansy with his flukey ass saves all the time. He's a flexable piece of shit too, he should do gymnastics instead.

i was close to choosing christobal huet but, even though he's good i don't think he's been arround long enough. but patrick roy easily got my vote, because he was just so damn good, and he fights people!

By the way why is guy lafleur on this list, he didn't play goalie fools
