I'm surprised no one has posted in this. It's actually a good list of bands. I just closed my eyes and clicked a couple times befreo I hit one, because they're all good, and what a coincidence, I picked AC/DC! Put there all good.

I voted for pink floyd, but I think that I actually should've voted for the beatles. Oh well, both great bands. And this is definitely the best list I've seen (and I've seen about fifty)

Also, Nirvana isn't supposed to beat Jimi Hendrix. Someone fix that.

Well the Chili Peppers go back to the early 80's and they have kept going for like 20 years, Id consider them to be a classic band. And Nirvana is one of the most influential bands ever so I think its appropriate for them to be on there.

Oh and I like The Doors too :p

I picked Nirvana cause i rather listen to them then any of the other bands, all though there are many great bands listed that have created great music, Nirvana is my all time favorite band.

RHCP is a very good band and I think that they rate up there (I am not being biased either). They've been around since 1979, have their own unclassifiable music (mixture of genres), have a unique beautiful sound, have some great members. Flea is a truly amazing bassist. John Frusciante is a semi god guitarist. Anthony Kiedis is a good vocalist and, with his lyrical and poetic talent, he writes a lot of their lyrics. As for Chad, the drummer, he seems just like an average drummer to me.. RHCP have made it through so many disasters (deaths + drugs + motor accidents), have their own trademark attitude, have written perfect albums (BSSM, etc.) and never let you down when you see them live. Not many people live by RHCP as their fav band (like me), but there are so many people who love them (say in their Top 10 bands). And the great thing is, they haven't and never will sell out. I can see what you mean about rating RHCP up there, but hey! They're a highly underrated band and I think that they have a beautiful unique sound. With more popularity, they would be more of a household name. The members work so well together. From memory, I think you do like RHCP don't you?

As for Nirvana, they may not be the most musically talented band, but they were influential. Nirvana paved the way for many things to come (grunge rock and Foo Fighters).

that list was really good, i couldn't choose. i was really happy to see cream on there. but i just had to give it too floyd or the peppers. so i flipped a coin. peppers win.
