I'd say the McLaren F1. Not the one with the really long rear, but the shorter version. I'll see if I can get a pic to show you what I mean.

Here it is. The silver one is the one I'm talking about. The black one seems too long, and the yellow/orange one isn't as fast.

The McLaren F1's are bad ass looking....

I think the Ferrari Modena 360 is the best looking car of all time!

I have to say the 1967 Shelby Cobra 427 SC (not AC). So hot!!! Want to drive! My old neighbors used to have one and teased me alot. I drove in it once......but never drove.

It was a replica of course, since the authentic ones go for over $1 mil.

The Z4 is an awesome car, it's so much better looking then the Z3.

My choice is the 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT is a beautiful car and it's getting pretty cheap. I'm planning on getting one next year.

There's a lot of pictures at this auction so here's the link. (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2452140671&category=6350)

I got that pic off ebay and looking at it again...I just realized something...

I stayed at a hotel in Texas last year about 1/2 a mile from that lot. :p

Pointless, but thought I'd throw that bit of BK history in.

The MEANEST looking mother! (http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/221a.jpg)

but on a serious note.. I'd agree with Zach on the F1

Ragnorak, that is a very nice car. I like it how the guy went through the trouble of showing the chipped paint and 2 scratches, it shows that he admits that the car isn't in perfect condition, but he has kept it in pretty sweet condition. Even took a pic of the mileage, and that's a good buy for a 3000gt.

I like how the brand name of the car is edited out.

Better looking than the Z3?! That's a joke, right? Sure, the Z4 looks nice, but it doesn't come close to the original in looks. Just in practicality.

I agree 100% with Disruptor. Not saying that Z4's are ugly, theyre beautiful (kinda shark looking though), but since Chris Bangle (head of BMW design) got the position, he seems to be ruining the original BMW look. I think you would all agree that all bmw's made before about 2000 had the stylish double round elliptical headlights along with 2 oval kidney grills and a boxy, yet curvaceous look.

The new 5 Series and the upcoming 6 have none of those features.

Youd better believe that there are tons of BMW enthusiasts like myself that are petitioning agaisnt him.

You've got to admitt that the Z3 needed some serious remodeling. While the exterior still looked great, the interior was aging fast and it could use a new powertrain. The Z4 is alright, but I can see how it is deviating from classic BMW style. The same may hold true from the new 5 series. I am not as big of a BMW enthusiast as others, but I can definitely tell that they are heading in a direction that will divide their true hard core fans.

And by the way........I loved the double round elliptical headlights! Very hot. BMWPower, how do you like the new 3 series?

I dunno man, I got tired of the Z3. IMO, the Z4 looks more fierce and intimidating.

Webby, funny you should say that. I was thinking of grabbing one, a 330ci specifically and i think theyre fine. They arent as traditional nor are they out there in Bangle-world. Im in decision over a 2002 330ci or a 95-99 M3. Im leaning toward an m3. Theyre gorgeous in my opinion.

I would agree with you that the late 90's M3 are beautiful. My buddy has a '97 and he took me for a ride in it that I will never forget. They handle like a dream. I was very impressed, even more so since it is 7 years old now. But I do love the Ci. Once again, another friend just got a 330 Ci and I love that too. I guess it just comes down to what you want, style (with great performance) or amazing performance (with great styling). Either way you can't go wrong. I have to put up with my '00 Taurus for now while I am waiting for my Mustang to be built. I am a Mustang fanatic, but I have love for all cars.

P.S. I would go M3!

The Disrupter

There's a huge power gap between '99-and-older M3's and 2001-and-newer M3's. You'd probably do better with a 2002 330ci. (Though they are likely much more expensive than 90's M3's)

I always thought it aimed to be more refined than the first.

True, there is a power difference. But the late 90's still out power the current 330. And with the $10k (roughly) that you save you can do a couple little modifications to really make it move. And I just like the body style. I think it will be a timeless look.

No prob, it's good to talk to someone who knows their cars and can talk intelligently about them. We need more intelligent conversations in here.

If people were to go around the world making surveys of which car is the prettiest, the general consensus of the public (both car enthusiasts and not) will often vote that the car in the link below is the prettiest.

Click here to see the best looking car (http://www.supercarstats.com/wallpaper/mclaren/mclarenf1_1024.jpg)

The thing that stands out the most about the general consensus and listings that are centered around "best looking cars", is that even though some listings have all different opinions at times about which cars are the prettiest, the car above always seems to be the most mentioned in such topics.

For example, in some lists, a Ferrari Modena would be mentioned, and in another list, a diablo or a viper would be mentioned, and then in another list, a supra or an eclipse would be mentioned. However, the car in the above link always seems to be mentioned (many times) in ALL such lists.

For that reason, I believe that the car in that link is as of now, the best looking car.

But there's too many styles of sexy cars for me to pick just one as the best looking.

CdocZ
12-15-2006, 05:28 PM
Well, it depends. For me, "sexy" is a category in which a car can be "the best looking" in. Elegance, aggressiveness, purposefulness (is that a word....?), and other similar things are other categories I use.
