I'm going with Canada too obviously. I mean how can you go wrong with Crosby? I'll especially be looking forward to this years World Jr's because I haven't seen any this season!
Oh yeah did you watch Making the Cut? For all who don't know its a reality show where a bunch of players try out, and 6 end up getting drafted by each Canadian team. The players who got picked will get to go to training camp and possibly make the team.
Curse your Canucks for getting 3rd choice while my leafs had last pick!

Yeah I saw that show a couple times... there was a guy I knew from baseball who made the final 18 players...but didnt get drafted. The chances of these players actually going anywhere with the teams that drafted them are pretty slim...they will most likely be traded or whatnot.
But for the Juniors... Canada obviously.. :p
Nice to have some hockey to finally watch

Just watching Canada play man these guys are good. 5-1 half way through the second.
These guys are hungry hard drives to the net, strong passes, lots of turn overs in the offensive zone.
Sold Defense too, I see why these guys are favored.

8-1 Canada over Sweden...They fucked the shit out of Sweden, it was like non-stop scoring they didnt even give them a chance passed 2nd period..
Crosby got 2 goals, Carter, Belles etc. Richard played an awesome game but only got one assist, he got MVP for his team though.

US won 6-4... I see a great final brewing.
I'm thinking Can vs. USA.
what's with the way this is set up Canada beats the top two teams in their pool now they have to play to limp dick teams. Germany and Finland. Well at least Finland can play, but they are pretty weak this year. Germany.... might as well play Japan.

I guess now they have a spot in the playoffs now with this win. I hate the fact they are playing dead beat teams it will make them weak against a stronger team.

Team Canada is insane this year.. I was hoping they would have some closer games, I like nail biters, but man these guys are just taking off. Their offense is so dominate and the defense is very aggressive, hell they could have a five year old between the pipes and still come out a head. Apart from that the other teams seem pretty evenly matched up, maybe the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association knows what they are doing after all. They took a lot of heat when they began implementing body checking and physical play at such an early age. But maybe they know what is best... it looks that way.

The Czechs played pretty defensive and there was some goaltending..I don't think Canada is used to playing a team like the Czechs so they were a bit unorganized than usual at the beginning of the game...but around 2nd period they got the hang of it. It was something like 50-10 shots?? insane.

but alas, outside of canada, no one cares about hockey. This might be the first world juniors outside of canada that has ever made money. All others outside canada have always lost money. Although this one is different because Grand forks is only an hour away from the border, and 2 hours away form winnipeg( anyone remember the jets? also my city). Unfortunately i couldnt make it down to any games due to money issues.
how many other people noticed the "go jets go" chants? Bettman was there, and he heard them, and im sure he knew that at least 10,000 of the people there were from winnipeg or the surrounding area. We also sold 15,000 tickets each(sell outs in our brand new arena) to two pre-tournament games in winnipeg. Maybe if they scrap some teams in the NHL after the lockout, winnipeg can get one back!
