Hi, I am Lexi.
Hi Lexi
I have a confession to make. I, I feel like such a bitch, because...well...I like Ska...**sniffle**
GASP
I love Ska. My favorite bands are Reel Big Fish, Skankin' Pickle, The Aquabats, Mustard Plug, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Toasters, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Less Than Jake and a countless amount of others.
Post anything related to Ska, and post your someof your favorite bands and songs.

I absolutely hate ska! My town is famous for ska though, bands like Goldfinger and Less Than Jake have come from my town, and it pisses me off. When I see somebody in a ska band in my school, well, he usually doesnt like the encounter.

I've heard "Santeria" by Sublime which I think is Ska. It's a pretty good song.

Violent Person, Increase the Peace...dang hippies.
I would consider Sublime a holy-awesome hybrid between Reggae and Ska.

I deffinately enjoy Streetlight Manifesto. I think they're a bit 'emo'-ish but I think they're a damn good band. I don't think I would go as far to say that they're the best one assembled, but they're pretty wicked.
Woot.

Ska is alright because it uses trombones once in a while. When people start fucking skanking or whatever the hell it's called, then I get pissed.

I completely agree with you. Their sound is so awesome. It's pretty obvious where the talent of the original Catch 22 was and now he is the driving force behind streetlight.
I think their going to get really big I can't wait to see them on the next Ska is Dead tour, I'm no rude boy, but I know good music when I hear it.

From my experience Ska is probably one of the most people friendly scenes, most people respect eachothers' space and skanking is nothing compared to punks' moshing or psychobillys' wrecking. To be honest that average ska fan is pretty mellow almost too mellow actually.

It looks like they're trying too hard to be noticed.

See, but I have to disagree there. Normally if 1 persons skankin', a ton are. And if a ton of people skank, not one person in the crowd stands out. Unless you have mad skank skills, in which case why not show 'em off?
