Now this is a dumb question b/c it is a fact that BUDDY RICH IS THE BEST DRUMMER TO EVER LIVE.

but some ignorant opinions are always fun to laugh at so go ahead and amuse me. Tell me how amazing Travis Barker is and how you never heard of or never listened to Buddy Rich.

Keith Moon was one of the best, maybe the best.

I say john bonham (http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Palms/4403/bonham.html)
He made drummers recognised in Rock bands.

was it tommy lee that had that spinning drum cage? That was cool.

Most people probably have never heard of this guy, but I'll post my thoughts any ways. The best drum player I have ever seen was Scott Churilla of Reverend Horton Heat, his drum solos are so tight musically and he is just so non-chalant and overly talented in every aspect of beating on the skins.

He was the drummer of "The Who". Died about 25 years ago because of drugs problem or something like that.

Thank you for that video. that was amazing. i have heard plenty of Buddy Rich, just haven't seen him.

It's amazing what he did with just a standard kit. he didn't need 20 different drums like Lars Ulrich or whatever his last name is to be great.

Solos aside Buddy Rich is still amazing. He lead all of the swing bands he played it. which was unheard of for a drummer to do that. normally the drummer goes off of how the lead trumpet or alto was playing. Not in his case. He's the best drummer to touch drumsticks.

I would have to say that Mike Portnoy falls into this discussion somewhere.

I think Vinnie Balzano is pretty good from Less Than Jake.

Hmmm...I almost shit my pants, some emo band drummer got mentioned before Dave Grohl's name got even spoken of, that's just ridiculous.

Keith Moon in my opinion.

I'm surprised Neil Peart's name hasn't been mentioned either.

I don't play drums and still have two people not mentioned. Two!! Not one, but TWO!!!!

Yeah, number one is Charlie Watts, and number two is Ringo Starr.

ringo was average at best. as were all the beatles if you ask me.

Yea none of the beatles were really that skilled at their instruments (except maybe paul with his voice). The fact remains that they were great songwriters that millions of people enjoy.
