Grindcore

I would say 1 in 50 or 1 in 100 (not sure what is more accurate) grindcore bands are actually good. it could even be 1 in 200 b/c when i see that on paper i still don't believe it.

I like Oktober Skyline and The Blood Brothers. Skyline is a Local band around here that also just happens to be so amazing it's indescribable. The Blood Brothers > You.

I have listened to The Locust, and have laughed. It's hysterical to listen to them lol. There was another one that wasnt bad but i can't remember their name.

You guys like any grindcore or know of any GOOD grindcore bands?

my friend's older brother plays drums for a local grind band here in SF, mutual abuse. the drummer is really really good. the rest of the band is sorta meh.. i dont know the scene here too well, i dont listen to alot of grind.

its hard to explain and you wouldnt like it anyways...

but hmm...in general the songs are very short, very very fast, have completely indecipherable vocals, occasionally the instruments play together, and the bands are generally about gore and stuff like that

as you can see from band names like "circle of dead children"

Crazy ass Guitar riffs and how hardcore it is. the drumming also has to be fucking hardcore. like double bass drum pettles. and crazy ass shit.

By technical standards, grindcore is highly unremarkable. You kind of have to obtain a certain mentality while listening to it and compare a specific group to another of the same genre. I still love it, though. Fun.
