Possible proposal...
The coin-op machine would look very much like a cross between the Para Para Paradise, Pump, and the Dance Dance Revolution machines.
A special pole with sensors in it and on the "floor" and "ceiling" it is mounted on, detects the player's moves and responds with the corresponding marks. In the demo game, the keyboard cursor keys are used, but these can be upgraded to the full array of flexible movements.
The software that runs the game should be compatible with most Stepmania (http://www.stepmania.com) "simfiles" so that it is easy to update.
Feasibility study for the coin-op version of this game might bar it from certain countries and territories that find this offensive.
