The Jets and the Giants is a rivalry, but because of the fact that the Jets are AFC and the Giants are NFC, they don't get to play every year.
They should play every year. Winner gets Giants Stadium for the next season.

Georgia - Florida
For my College Football rivalries.
Florida-Tenn is a good one but now that Richt has beaten UF.....the heat will be turned up finally.

ehhh, kind of, the problem is during preseason no one gives a shit and every three years is not often enough. A lot of giant fans though are closet jet fans, only because in new york the teams generally split like this: giants, yanks rangers vs. jets, mets, islanders. So a lot of giant/yankee fans dont have any problem rooting for the jets because their main rival is in boston and the yankee siide of the giant fan takes over and roots for the jets and againts the pats. That was really hard to explain, bottom line giant and jet fans dont hate too much. If they played every year it would be a huge rivalry though.
Th onnly thing that makes me mad about the jets is seeing the stadium green

Sure Army-Navy is a good rivalry, but there's no way it could be the best in college football considering almost every year they're both well below .500 when they play. Goin with OSU-Michigan

I have to say red sox and yankees, because of the brawls they got in, the great playoff series, which Iam watching on tv right now, they are replaying them because they got no hockey to show, this past series was the best.

Why would the twins and white sox be a all time rival? they dont have any memorable games, nothin really matters in that series. Twins always win the division by 10 games.

Yeah, OSU-Mich is fucking crazy. If you were on a side, you would know. As a Clevelander, I say OSU-Mich and as a regular guy on the street, I'd say BoSox-Yanks.

I voted for Yankees Red Sox, but for any 'city' rivals, for college sports, I'd also have to go with BC and BU. In both hockey, and football, and basketball, perhaps? *shrugs*

To be fair, thats only three years theyve done that now.
And I think he misspelled the word Indians...
I predict that Eagles-Patriots will be a big rivalry in the near future.

Its gone on for 100 years.
So ...I stand corrected.

It is a rivalry for the time being, but it will never actually become an ongoing rivalry until the 2 meet in a conference championship.

There is no better rivalry than the Yankees and Red Sox.
They are linked by the passion of their fans, their proximity to each other and the fact they play in two of the nation's greatest ballparks: Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park.
Then, of course, there was the sale of Babe Ruth from the Red Sox to the Yankees and the so-called "Curse of the Bambino.Cursed no more.
oh, the Yankees and BoSox have give and take, all right. The Red Sox give--starting with Babe Ruth and continuing right through then-manager Grady Little's ill-fated refusal to lift Pedro Martinez in Game 7 of last year's American League Championship Series--and the Yankees take.
PS,Go Red Sox.

Alright this is what I can't stand about Michigan fans. (These being the ones that call themselves loyal but really aren't)
All week during Michigan week, there's trash talking back and forth. Nothing too bad...but something really upsets me. Michigan fans always say that Ohio State fans are worse, rioters, bandwagoners, etc. And that Michigan has all loyal fans.
So the day of the game, I have a couple of Michigan fans that are my friends over along with some OSU friends. And as it turns out, OSU beats Michigan by a lot.
And you know what the Michigan fans say?
"Oh, well I don't care. The rivalry isn't that big in Michigan anyways. Its only since all you OSU 'fans' got on the bandwagon that people have been watching it. We can still go to the Rose Bowl anyways, and that's all that matters."
.....
You're fucking kidding me, right? First off, the rivalry has been big forever. I have a book in it with a picture of a hippie wearing a Muck Fichigan shirt. That was in the 1960s. That was when the "10 year war" was in its prime!
Now to the next part.
The Rose Bowl is NEVER and I mean NEVER bigger than the OSU Michigan game unless someone is playing for a National Championship. And this year, that wasn't the case. Remember, these are High School kids, so chances are, they'll end up forgetting the final score of the Rose Bowl in three months, even if they win. But if they beat OSU, those bragging rights last a whole year.

I'd say Any NY team vs. any Boston team is a pretty big rivalry. Unlike most sports rivalries, the people from NYC and Boston seem to genuinely hate each other, not just the teams themselves. Trust me, my state has tons of both fans, and arguments always arise when the Yanks/ Sox and Pats/Jets games approach.
Also, this may seem a bit elitist, but what about Harvard-Yale? I know both teams are usually terrible, but they've played every year for over a hundred seasons and their fans also seem to genuinely hate each other.

OSU-Mich have been playing for over 100 years as well. And, if you read my earlier rant, I dislike many Michigan fans.

Harvard-Yale is like Army-Navy, except for the fact that Harvard and Yale are division II and therefore their rivalry doesn't receive as much press as the Army-Navy game.

I know you want to say that because the Red Sox won but the series itself sucked. The Yankees dominated the first 3 games particularly the 3rd one and it was BORING. The Red Sox squeaked by in the only really exciting game in game 4 and won again in game 5 and then dominated 6 and 7. Last years ALCS was better. The games were closer and it was decided by a comeback in extra innings. It was simply a better series however you look at it, doesnt matter who won. But Yankees/Red Sox is the biggest rivalry in all of sports history so whatever. 26-1 since 1918 biatches.
Also Jets/Patriots has been becoming increasingly huge do to the events of the past decade. Plus its New York area fans vs Boston area fans so its already heated.
PS. I dont buy that whole Yankees, Rangers, Giants vs Jets, Mets, Islanders BS. I am a huge Yankee fan and a Jets fan and I dont like hockey and I know many many people who dont fit the mold.

You can't base a rivalry on brwals. If you do, then Twins/Indians should rank up there with them.

OSU/Michigan is pretty fucking crazy. But if you're talking about the most heated rivals, I'd say:
CFB: OSU/Mich or Nebraska/Colorado
CBB: UNC/Duke
NFL: Bears/Pack
MLB: Sux/Yanks
EDIT: Beh, post *555*.... 110 more to go!

Also, anybody in the state of Kentucky will say the UK/Louisville is the greatest Basketball Rivalry, at least for Non-Conference foes.
