The league countered the NHLPA with one final offer. I really think the players need to take this. They will NOT see a better offer! If they don't it is just being pig headed. They lived high off the hog for years and now the league needs to make sense of their finances. I think the NHL is being fair and I hope the players take it.

Hockey really could do well right now too. There is no NFL. MLB is DROWNING in roids. Guys in the NBA can't hit a simple 16 foot fucking jump shot still. There is a market out there. It is the right time. Having a season, even if it is bastardized, will save this league IMO. Save face. I sure as hell hope.

I just want to see some good hockey and some FIGHTS! If you guys didn't figure by now I like hockey fights. :bang:

Anyways, HERE (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=1992342) is the details on the latest situation. I hope and pray.

There's a meeting tomorrow morning, and yesterday everyone was saying this would be the official cancellation of the season. Today, after the sportcenter anchors found out about the salary cap agreement, most of them agreed that this would be the announcement of the season's beginning. They said most likely it'll be a 30 game season with playoff's happening normally.

MLB is drowning?....

I'd say it's above sea level...

And now what everyone has known would happened has happened. Because petty differences could not be put aside, one whole season of a real sport has been lost. I am definitely not a hockey fan but I am a fan of sports, and seeing poker and NASCAR have more prominence than hockey is kind of disturbing...

All you have to do is check out the MLB Section on ESPN.com (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/index) and count how many times they say "roids." Not even in the the links, but the heading. I think they are in serious trouble as well personally.

Also, about hockey. I think the NHL might have been killed. The NHLPA let the best offer pass and now everyone loses. This sucks. :(
