The sites great but...

Ebaum,
Just spent a happy day (when I should have been revising for some crucial exams tommorrow) browsing through your site, since then I've looked at your hatemail page and thought about some things said.
The way I see it, there are two complaints.
The first is an issue of copyright etc. and the accusation that you have pinched stuff from other sites.

Now, I've seen some of your stuff on other sites, or it may be I've seen other peoples stuff on your site. The point is, things on the web tend to get shared around a lot, isn't that one of the key ideas, and what makes it so great???

Therefore, its great to have a site which gathers lots of this stuff together, so we can all have a good laugh once in a while. The only possible problem is when people pass stuff off as their own, and I must say I haven't seen any instances of this. :-)

Conclusion: if it is, or even if it isn't your stuff, share and collate, so we can have a great site, but don't take credit for others work (I don't think you do)

The second complaint seem to be that kids, while looking at a perfectly normal and funny site, tend to come across disturbing things. This I have slightly more sympathy with, tho I do think the way that some of your critics put it was a tad harsh. I think some of the best stuff on the site (and some of the worst for that matter) is the more explicit stuff. Just a thought, would it not be possible (and I think legally neccessary) to simply put a page between the link and the explicit material saying "the material beyond this link may not be suitable for minors" or something like that - covers your ass without ruining our viewing pleasure?

Anyway, great site (even if that sounded like critiscism) keep up the good work in stopping me getting a degree.
