Hello everyone. :) I am new to the boards ( the prank calling with celebirty voices is VERY funny! Who ever thought of it is a geniouse ) Now I've been wondering, how do you prank call someone knowing that they don't have a thing that tells you what phone # is calling? I really don't want to be tattled on for having fun and have the police come bust me. So how do you do it?

Well that would depend what country you are in. Here in the UK you dial 141 before making the call.

Welcome! Well "the prank calling with celebirty voices" that's called soundboards. If your in America its *67. And "the thing that tells the number that's calling" is called Caller I-D. Well i highly doubt you will get in trouble unless you call continuesly, Threaten to kill, rape, etc., also if you impersinate a police officer. (It's kind of okay with Arnold :)) I hope this helps

Okay, I wanna make sure that my parents don't find out about this. Is there any possible way that they could find out other than me being caught in the act? I just wanna take all percautions nessessary.

My mom looks at the phone bill, and asks me why there are so many calls placed on the hours that she's at stores :D . I just say "I don't know". Other than getting busted by the cops, or prank call victim, getting caught in the act, or having your parents see the phone bill, I can't imagine a way to get busted... you'll only get caught if you're stupid enough to be caught, so be smart! :)

In the UK free calls (0800) do not show on your phone bill ever!

I expect it is the same in the states.

I forgot about that... but here in the United States, *67 has no effect whatsoever on an 800 number, so I wouldn't call one. I didn't know it was 0800 in the U.K. Come to think about it, Vincent Vega was right in Pulp Fiction, there are alot of "little differences" in the world...

Pretty much all phone numbers in the UK start with a zero. Plus you can call them anonymously using "141" :bang:

Luckily, we have a diesel-engine truck, and I can hear it when it pulls in the driveway. ;)
