just wondering if anyone has been to a concert that just stuck in their heads. or if you listen to a band that you have heard plays a kick ass gig. just curious

i would have to say metallica

but from what i hear, rob zombie totally blows them away. which would figure because he has all those kick ass props and the front man doesnt play an instrument so it gives him freedom to act like a total psycho

"Nirvana Unplugged", is the greatest live performance by a band that I like. Kurt Cobain shows so much emotion during all of the songs. Listen to "Where did you sleep last night?" Thats my favorite song off of the unplugged album.

Recently the best I have seen were Saliva and Powerman 5000. They really kick it up a notch live, esp. PM5K.

Live show... if you like heavier music Element Eighty is fucking awesome. The best concert I've ever seen and it was just here recently was Korn. It was just song after song, no talking. Relentless rock. It was sex.

the zen guerillas opening for the hellacopters a few years back. that monster of a singer goin wild on his harmonica was a very beautiful sight. and the music kicked ass, dammit.

or the guys from flipper. completely drunk and stoned onstage, burning each others trousers, but still destroying our ears with their slow-mo punk.

but.... i am going to see ween in december and i guess this is going to be... well just great i guess! boognish rules!!

Really??? Powerman is pop-rock??? I didn't know. Plus, the songs done live on "Transform" are pretty much in the style of Super-mega Kung-Fu and TTSR!, they don't sound like on the album.

Saliva's new album was pretty gay, but I was thinking of the old days back with "every six seconds," which was much more rough.

Best concert i've ever seen - Our Lady Peace
Foo Fighters was also pretty kick ass, but i couldnt really concentrate because it was at least 40 degrees celcius in the venue and it felt like we were all bathing in our own sweat.

most memorable concert was Dirty Rotten Imbeciles for several reasons:

1) first concert I went to
2) turned me onto Sick of it All (their opening band)
3) I saw these two girls in polo button down shirts that looked completely out of place...damn, I thought that was so hot
4) club concert...club concerts are a lot better than bullshit stadium concerts where you have to watch some big screen to see the band.

I would say, Korn they were amazing or suicide machines and rancid, they played right after eachother so it was great.....the pits for these bands were IN-SANE

What would make the best live performance, I personally think mosh pits are stupid, seriously what kind of iq do you have to have to enjoy that. Some appreciation for the finer things in life huh. Concerts shouldnt be about a band trying to make themselves look cool, or express how mature they are by destroying everything, its about the music and the fans. I have only been to 2 concerts, weezer was good, radiohead was f**king amazing. I guess you can see how good a band is- live performance-wise by going to their website, and reading reviews from the fans that were there, it should be good reading.
