Michael Parente, of the Woonsocket Call, reports the New England Patriots have released CB Ty Law

The Patriots must of made this move on salary cap reason.Ty Law was heart and soul of this defense. He and Belicheck had their problems.

The Law has bin dismissed.

Great player but the Patriots showed they didnt need him. Still, whoever picks him up will be lucky.

I would have done the same thing if it was my call. They would of had to have payed him about 12 million dollars when they really didn't need him. He may be one of the games premier shut-down corners, but the Patriots showed they didn't need him by winning a championship without hi,

Skins will get him in a lucrative deal.

And play him as a WR because thats the best we can get.

The Skins are in talks of traded Laverneus Coles to the Jets for Santana Moss. Moss is a quality receiver bro. I hope that Ty Law will come to Dallas as the Cowboys have like 15 mil in cap space.

the patriots needed someone like his leadership, they just didnt have no money in the salary cap, thats the only reason they released him. i think they were 23 mill over.

That would be a wise move on Dallas' part seeing their defense isn't exactly shit, but not top notch either. If they had that extra boost to there defense they might be able to make up for the lackluster passing game.

Its gonna be a rat race between Minnesota and Dallas as far as signing wise, Vikes got 36mill to spend. Any notable great defenseman out there?

Ya like bergs said, the pats dont need ty law, manning only scored 3 points against us, when lots of people were saying the colts offense would light up the scoreboard, 3 points.

I also heard KC is highly interested in Ty Law
They desperately need a good defensive player.

Although they definitely do need a good defensive player, I seriously doubt their ability to be able to afford Ty Law. He is going to be one of the highest payed players in the game and I'm pretty sure the Chiefs have a small amount of cap room.

Ty Law is coming to Cleveland and you all should know that :D .

We have cap space and Law has stated that he loves working with Crennels system.

Yeah, I don't get that. Why can't the redskins get a big reciever like Plaxico Burress. They're going to trade Coles, a small reciever, for Moss, an even smaller reciever.

Ty Law was heart and soul of this defense.

That's bullshit. He was gone throughout the whole playoffs and their D shut down everyone. He was one of their better defensive players but they have proven that they can obviously manage without him.

Piggy, that doesnt take away from the fact that he is a shutdown corner.

He was the reason they won that playoff game against the Colts last year.

I didn't say he wasn't a shutdown corner. My point is the Pats D will be fine without him, just as they were through this years playoffs.

Teddy Bruschi, Willie Mcginest, Mike Vrabel are the heart and soul of the D. 3-4 owns.

Im more worried that we lose Bruschi, like sti said he is one of the heart and soul players of the pats, it dont sound too good as of now, a blood vessel broke i think in his head, if his hits the ground or something it could break again.

First i would like to thank u for making my day better, second law sucks NE ways, if you havnt noticed the only thing law had was the ability to make a play but he had the same "knock down the pass 50% of the time" ability all other NFL quality DBs have. Plus i never even heard of ANY DB that was the heart n' soul of ANY defence EVER. i mean they stay completly on 1 side and theres no way they can make a play if the ball is thrown to the otherside(barring a DB blitz) so the heart n' soul of any DB of the such whould be therefor nullified with lack of getting into the play. Champ Baily ALMOST contradict this statement but the broncos shitty record stops that from happening.

regardless of his attitude, a healthy Ty Law is one of the best CBs in this league, period. Failing to seeing that means that you are not really watching football with any understanding of the game. Period.

Having said that, Ty Law is still hobbled by his injuries, which is why no one's jumped all over him yet. But just wait till he's healthy again, and some team will give him mad money to bring his toughness and big play abilities their way.

I am no fan of Ty Law's as a person, but as a player you'd have to be blind to not see how good this guy can be.

If Ty Law brings his asking price down, then there would be a ton of teams interested. No one wants to pay what he's asking for a player coming off a major injury.

Hint: he is represented by the Poston Bros, and he is the greediest son of a bitch going... sounds to me like his price ain't going down anytime soon :)
