Here in central Va. there's one good rock and roll station that you can pick up and it's alright most of the time but the daily DJ from 10am-3pm I think may be the worst DJ ever in the history of radio broadcasts. She plays the same songs everyday, no exceptions, just maybe in different order sometimes.

What does she play? Most of the time it's Creed, Staind, Ozzy, and Godsmack. I have heard Ozzy played atleast 5 times within her time slot, same thing for all the others. I used to enjoy Ozzy and some Godsmack, but it's the same stuff over and over. It's murder and I don't even want to talk about "Two-For-Tuesdays."

Since this is supposed to be a classic and modern rock station she is required to play some old stuff too. She does a great job of screwing this up as well. I like Led Zepplin ok, but I have heard them played up to EIGHT times between 10 and 3 and it's always the same songs. Other classics that get played to hatred are Tom Petty, Beatles, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Rolling Stones. All of these bands had plenty of hits but the same one or two songs will be played until you can't stand it.

I know you're saying, well why don't you just turn it off or change the channel. Away from work I do but when I'm at work my only options are sit in silence or listen to cds-which does get old after a while.

I've e-mailed them plenty of times to no avail, even though they encourage people to contact them with questions or comments. I know I can't be the only one this pissed off.

Oh well, just wanted to get that out, maybe someone else is in a similar situation.

We have the same problem here in NYC, Red. There are two major rock stations. The first one, KROCK, is "todays rock". But their motto should be "Lets see how many many times we can play the same Red Hot Chili Peppers song in a day". If I hear "Californication" one more time, I'm gonna fucking snap. They also play the crap that you were complaining about like Staind (whiney little pussies dressed up like tattooed badasses.) and Creed (retch!!). The classic rock station, Q104, isn't much better. How can you go wrong playing Led Zep and The Who you ask? Let me tell you. Their actual playlist is tiny. They have about four or five songs from each "classic" group and play them ad nauseam. Why bother playing great Zep songs like "For Your Life", "Ten Years Gone" and "Achillies Last Stand" when you can play "Rock and Roll" and "Fool in the Rain" six times a day, right? Bah!! Thank God for CD burners and Kazaa so I don't have to listen to that shit.

well, If you go to most, well, I don't know, maybe, out of the way places, you can find some nice stations. There's one up in Maine that played Danzig and some Maiden in the same fifteen minutes, and plays pretty nice stuff.
