I'm sorry to see that you fell that way. One question, how do you see the Astros winning the central division? If it's gonna be anyone else it would be the Cardinals...

im kind of undecided for that division, i kind of think the astros got the better pitching, with clemens, pettitte, oswalt, lidge, backe.

If the Indians get get ANY pitching at all they will win the AL Central.
Just look how young and deep their lineup is on offense.
EDIT: Hah, the Marlins wont win the division..

Who knows. They won the World Series 2 years ago. It's not like they are a bad team...

I got to admit when the world series started this year, I was a little nervous the cardinals were going to kill the redsox, but after we won game two i calmed down a little, acually when it was over i wasnt too impressed by the cardinals.

Astro's all the way baby, i see them beating the cardinals. We will claim our division. The cards, will enter the playoffs by wildcard, by beating out the braves.

The Cardinals also lost: (that I can think of)
Mike Matheny
Woody Williams
Tony Womack

A team that will have to rely on their starting pitching all year will not win any division. Especially since one of their best pitchers is coming off horrible arm problems and the other is 500 years old. Also, Berkman will be out for a few months at the start of the season. That makes it even harder for the Astros offense to do anything. Oh yeah, Jeff Kent is gone too. :icon_rofl
Also, it's really gay when you get negative rep points from a person because they don't like the team that you do. :censor:

don't worry about what i say, if i want the astro's to win the division than thats my choice, i don't care or give a fuck about your cubs, they suck anyways, you just lost the best player you had, cuz he got tired of them losing :icon_rofl , and stop double posting, and stop complaining about reps, i get neg reps cuz i am eagles fan and the subject has nothing to do with football, so get used to it, junior.

The outfield is average I will admit it. But, look at the infield and pitching...
I'd say Corey Patterson is the backbone.

The FUCKING ATHLETICS TRADED AWAY HUDSON AND MULDER. Im still pissed :shout:
Harden should be a Cy young finalist..SHOULD BE. Dont jump on me cause of that, just he's got the stuff. I dunno about the angels staff/line up.
Losing guillen, glaus, percy...Colon and Washburn are really their noticable startesr and youd think Colons getting up there so. Along with Garret Anderson.
AL
East-Yanks
Central-Twins(Know how to grind it out, 3 time champs. Johan and Radke are a nice 1-2 duo.)
West-A's
WC-BoSox(I dont see a repeat, their pitching staff is pretty ifty after Schill, some nice signings, but really not that scary..)
NL
East-Braves, always win.
Central-Cards, still got the best hitter in baseball.
West-As weak as this division is, Giants. They surrounded 'roids with Alou who is a pretty good hitter. Dunno about their staff, but Schmidt is sick.
WC-Marlins. Solid line up and down, Delgado was a steal.

wow ok lol, dont ask why but i could of sworn i heard that santana signed with another team and wasnt on the twins any more, in my first post in this thread, i wasnt sure who would win that division, i said no johan santana for the twins, so since they still have him they will definitly win their division.

lol, he just signed a 4 year extension like a few weeks ago. he's probably the best pitcher in baseball.

NL Central -- Cubs. (Yes, I'm a Cubs fan.)
NL West -- Dodgers. (And yet, another whim.)
NL Wildcard -- Cardinals.

This is what I will think will happen in the playoffs,
ALDS
Red Sox beat Twins 3-1
Yankees beat Angels 3-2
ALCS
Red Sox beat Yankees 4-2 yea!
NLDS
Braves beat Astros 3-1
Dodgers beat Cardinals 3-2
NLCS
Braves beat Dodgers 4-1
World Series
Red Sox beat Braves 4-3

Not only do I disagree with your winner, but the runner up too. The braves have a weaker team this year than normal, and even if they do make the playoffs when was the last time they got out of the first round?

American Leauge
AL EAST: Red Sox: adding Wells and Renteria doesn't hurt! ;)
AL Central: Twins: I still don't think anyone in that division can compete.
AL West: Anaheim: They' re still in great shape and ready to make the playoffs.
AL Wild Card: Yankees or Texas
National Leauge:
NL EAST: Phillies: It may sound crazy, but the have filled there holes by aquiring a solid and proven Center Fielder and 2 ground ball pitchers. Not to mention the manager replacment.
NL Central: Cardnals: They didn't lose anybody except renteria ,so, why wouldn't they win?
NL West: Giants: They have added Moises Alou, and they have BONDS!!
NL Wild Card: San Diego or Atlanta

Haha...ya'll are funny. Please continue to underrate the Braves. I love it! Its what makes our team so great. We dont have all the superstars like the Mets, Phils, and Marlins, but we have Tim Hudson and the best coach in the league...not to mention the best team chemistry in the league. Now, we are going to win the NL East, and Im going to say we go to the World Series but loose it to the Red Sox in 6 or 7. The Red Sox are a better team than last year and they are kind of scary right now. The Marlins are going to be the NL Wild Card and are going to get to the NLCS with the Braves but loose. The Angels are going to get to the ALCS but loose to the Sox...Yankees are going to loose in the first round to the Twins.

It's interesting seeing all the different responses for the West and West teams in the Wild card, I just gotta think that all four teams (yes, Mariners included) will be within about 5 games of each other. The only problem is that it's tough for a team from there to win the Wild Card because it's such a strong division from top to bottom that they all beat the shit out of each other, whereas in the AL East the Red Sox and Yankees just destroy the other 3 teams every time they play them.

I don't about the braves, they lost one of their best RBI leaders it could be tough, and the marlins, well I don't think delgado is going to be able to hit as many home run is in Dolphins stadium, it's more of a pitcher friendly park.
But hey the players have the final word in what happens
The NL East, I think, will be the best race in baseball.

Look at the thing at the very bottom of my post.
In all seriousness, the champion will be either New York (Hey, we all hate them, but they're bound to win eventually), Boston (Pitching needs to prove consistency), or Chicago (Needs to stay healthy and hit).
Of those three, I give Boston the best chance, having all the momentum from last year.
