Good job of wasting space by quoting that whole post. And I don't watch MTV, except a few times a year for award shows. But I do listen to radio stations that play that kind of music, however. And none of these are ever on MTV. VH1 sure, but not MTV (and there's a big difference)
Matchbox Twenty
Third Eye Blind
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Default
Creed
Barenaked Ladies
Goo Goo Dolls
And dont get me started on Kazaa.

The only band that redeems you there is RHCP- you are the MTV CEO's dream.

hmm, i think you may find that these threads are based on how many posts there are before making a new page, not how much space has gone, so get your facts right. Plus listening to radio stations that play that kinda music is the same as watching mtv, its all the same, there all doing the same thing, and its dicks like you that buy into it. Buying albums now only makes business even more wealthy, so they can spend even more on promoting their songs, making more people buy more albums, and so on and so on. So think before you speak.

I will say I dont care for MTV, reason being there is no music, the other reason it is all pop bullshit. The thing that bothers me a little bit is how people dog on people for watching MTV and enjoying the music played. So what if someone likes whats "hot" on the MTV charts music is music.

music is not music- the stuff that is popular now would never ever be made into hits if it wasnt for videos. The only reason some of them are even played is cuza videos. All you need is look good & show some skin- wgaf if your voice is digitally enhanced & you cant sing live to save your life? Puleeeze. The crap on MTV is exactly that crap- but ur right about them not playing music enuff.
The days of Headbangers Ball are long gone I'm afraid.

im sorry, but i cracked up when i read the first two sentences. i knew that sid didnt have a taste in music, but to waste 200 dollars (for sure) ans possibly another 140 (thats 20 bucks a cd) on some of the worst shit i have ever heard. Tell me, what kind of fuck up would want to buy Third Eye Blind for sure and not get hybrid theory? how can you be so brainwashed. you probably have never heard anything other than the radio. try going to a fucking concert, or just to a school dance. youll get better music there than you can ever hear on the radio.
OR, if you are such an outcast that you cant even show your face at a party without getting laughed at, you could at least go on kazaa.. and in music type "christian". i guarantee that the songs you get there are all better than your crappy cds. il make an exception for red hot chili peppers because thats a good band, but everything else you have blows. if i had that much money on me, i would not spend it on matchbox 20... or is it that you are in love with the song unwell? or bright lights? those are the only songs that matchbox has on the radio. tell me, have you heard ANY other song by them? if you realize that those "hits" are the best songs on their cds youd understand why you cant pick music.

Indeed.
And Sid...I can understand RHCP...but...for God's sake...save your money on things that will be useful to you. What I see that would make you better is spending that CD money on a dime bag and a concert ticket for someone that isn't on MTV showing their ass. Anyone...just someone that makes actual music.
Your life will change the day you do that.

Well, thats me. I'm not really into most of that loud, screaming L.P. music. I like some of it, but not enough to justify spending 18-20 dollars.
Here's all TEN singles (where have you been the last 7 years?) by MB20, and there's even more that I like that weren't played on the radio.
#1 - Push, 3 AM, Real World, Back 2 Good,
#2 - Mad Season, Bent, If You're Gone,
#3 - Disease, Unwell, Bright Lights

Under The Bridge is great (#4 on my Launchcast), but the rest of that just isn't as good I don't think. I prefer their more recent music like Californication.

Like MB20 and Third Eye aren't actual music. Stephan Jenkins is probably the best guy out there who isn't a rapper at rhyming lyrics.

i second that. last cd i bought was eric clapton's greatest hits for 8.99. its in my van right now, its great. i get most of my cds from my parent's collection, but i will continue to download until i come across another great deal on a great artist (and i have money).

Uh....huh.
Yes, they are actual music unlike T.A.T.U. But, they are still MTV grown. If it wasn't for MTV, they wouldn't be here. I'm talking about a band that...ya know what...fuck it. You'll never get the point.
As far as the sentence about that guy being the best at rhyming lyrics...well...I'm not even going to waste my time ripping you up on that retarded statement.

so true... let me see how many people are better than Jenkins that ARE NOT rappers.
1. linkin park lead singer (forgot his name)
2. fred durst
3. Brandon Boyd (incubus guy)
i mean there is three to name a few. metallica's solos were awsome before st anger came out (the're are hardly anymore new ones). i forgot his name but he was awsome... if you spend your time watching comedy central you will probably have a better taste than what you get from MTV and VH1...
P.s, i realized i said i will drop it and ignore sid... but i just couldnt do it... ill try to stop arguing, but when someone is oh so stupid, i just dont have the heart to leave them in the dark. but since he is so fucking ignorant, i guess itl just have to do...
EDIT: hey brain, you're a girl right? i always thought you for a girl and now that there is so much controversy with sid's sex, im afraid i might be wrong about many people. im not saying your gay, i just want to be sure im not mistaken. and if you are a boy, dont take this to heart, i just didnt know

Dude besides Brandon Boyd these guys all suck. Linkin park is overrated and Fred Durst sold his soul to MTV a long time ago.
Besides Jesus shut up already. So what if he likes crappy music. Is he listening to it around you? No!
My list: Legacy: Absolute best of the Doors (I own all Doors CD's with Jim)
The new Zach De La Rocha project (When, where, who?)
Any Eric Clapton Cd I don't currently own.
Disclaimer- Seether
Element Eighty's debut album (They fucking own live.)
Uh... I'm probably forgetting alot but I just like to go the Cd store and browse and buy what tickles my fancy.
