now as much as i hate mtv. i have to say that i like this show, dare i say love it? they show some kick ass metal on this show, but i dont think the host is right for the job. i love the videos and its not all pop metal (pop as in popular) stuff like cradle of filth and kyuss. ive even seen motorhead on there a couple of times.

i basically posted this to see if anyone else shares the same views as i.

i've already expressed my anger once but i'll do it again. i really get irratated by the show. it does on ocassion show some awesome shit. i've seen 'em play Decapitated (the "new" video, even though the album came out 2 years ago), Nile's new video, Obituary, Slayer, Superjoint Ritual, Death that one time, Six Feet Under, Madball and some other good shit. my only problem is wasting time sitting through Sevendust, Dope (that has to be the worst video on the planet. people like the kids on there are whiny bitches), Staind, Static X etc. jsut to see a Superjoint video. this sucks man. it was like this back in the day too. you had to sit through Vixen, Enuff z' Enuff (did i spell that right? all i know is that band is TOO colorful to stand), Poison and Warrant just to see a Kreator video. MTV always finds a way to squeeze in the pop-like wannabe metal into time that people relly into the metal or extreme metal genre get to see their favorite shit. it was like this when Extreme Rock was still airing on weeknights from 10:30-11:00. you would see 3 awesome videos by say, Neurosis, Arch Enemy and an old Kreator video, while havig to sit through 15 videos by Spineshank, Adema, Slipknot, Staind and Korn. all this mainstreem watered down shit just pisses me the fuck off. i wanna see my shit, and when myself or people like me get our little segment of the day to see our videos by our favorite bands, the producers at that damned network have to ruin it by playing the videos they played all day during the time that should be for people who wait all day to see their shit but have it taken away from them yet again by the money hungry producers.

It sucks that I dont get MTV2, so I dont really get to watch the show very often. I agree with AssClown, they will play some good shit, but most of the time it will be cramed in between the mallcore crap that they pack that show with, that could barley be classified as metal.

I agree with AssClown. Headbangers ball plays some good videos, but you have to sit through a bunch of shitty ones first. Uranium is good. No complaints there.

Uranium is pretty good but I like Rockzilla but not when they play the shitty stuff. And Headbangers ball is pretty good, but it was the best when Slipknot was a special guest.

These stations will do either 23hrs and of stupid reality shows or rap videos, pimp my ride, sucka free whatever and leave a half an hour to an hour for hard rock and metal.

Where MTV used to guide the record industry trends in the past, they have become a slave to them over the past 10 years. No radical thinkers there, no one willing to go out on a limb.

Arch Enemy was one of the "Guests" on MTV2 Headbangers Ball back in late 2003.

Did anyone tape this entire 2 hr show with either a Hi-Fi Stereo VCR or a DVD Recorder?

I used to have this tape.. but I lost it.

If anyone has this complete show recorded in Stereo.. I would love to purchase or trade for a copy.

(I have many of the MTV2 HB shows from after that till aprox May of 2005.. when they decided to completely cover the screen with their stupid new logos.... Leave it to the MTV network to RUIN a show that was actually worth watching.)

Anyway.. I would love to see that show again..
Loved the Ravenous Video.. and the King Diamond video kind of funny ;)
