Moss (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2003487) and LaMont Jordan (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2003565) are now with the Raideeeeeerrrs (/Chris Berman voice). How great do you think the Raiders offense will be now?

This sucks. I'm not a Moss fan but I'm a Jets fan and I know that LaMont Jordan is really good. Him and Moss are definitley going to have an impact on the Raider's offense.

Jordan is good. Moss is great, but in order for Moss to be better, they need a better quarterback, Kerry Collins will not get it done. Not only that, the defense is still god awful, and the average age is like, 35 maybe? I'm guessing they go 6-10 or 7-9.

Now that the Raiders have Moss, that will be enuff to actually free up the running game a bit more, there going to pull the cover 2 on Moss, then you have Jerry Porter on the other side of him, what else do you need, sure the raiders need a younger smarter QB, but you have to get it done with what you got. Wishing and having are two different stories. The Raiders do not have the money to get a QB right now. I agree, i think they will win their Division this year. 10-6.

Wow, the Chokeland Faiders hire a thug at WR... what are the odds. A thug with talent, I will give you that :)
Lamont Jordan I think is a stud waiting to burst out. Great signing. And I think that Collins is good enough to use them.
They still won't be able to get past the Pats anyway, so who cares what they do? ;)

Yea so? On the Vikings was Moss and an all star quaterback with Culpepper with like 50 different decent running backs starting every week, but look how far the Vikings got...
These additions to the Raiders doesn't really do jack shit for them. They still need a top notch quaterback and, like before said, Kerry won't cut it. Also, how good can LaMont Jordon be? No one really knows yet he hasn't been a starting runningback for a full season yet. But, we'll see, I like the Raiders so I'll try and be optimistic for them.

actually, Jordan is a good RB. Being that I follow the AFC East more than any other conf, I have seen a lot of him. Don't get me wrong, CuMar is the man, and as an ex-Pat, I have nothing but love for him. But Jordan is the real deal imho.

Yea, the guy's big and pretty quick for his size. I don't know if Oakland will have a huge running game with the passing options they now have, but if he gets the opportunity, he should get 1,000 yds.

Actually i think they will have a great running game, look at the colts, they have harrison, wayne and james, and still have over 1000yard season's, i just think that the same will happen to the raiders. Moss,Porter and Jordan should pose a threat and make the raiders a playoff contender. AFC teams will know what the black hole is once again.

let me put it this way: Jordan as a backup last year had more rushing yards than the highest rusher for the Faiders did... enough said.

somehow, I still think my Pats will handle that blackhole if it comes to that. Let's see... they defeated the Greatest Show on Turf, the Squealers at their house for the AFC championship *twice*, the Colts and PayMeATon Whining and his cast of thousands more times than should be allowed, etc... It's the Chokeland Faiders we're talking about. They'll fuck it up :D

True true, but somehow they didn't defeat the Miami Dolphins. The raiders will make their way back to the top. They need more younger players, and i think with the addition of Moss and Jordan, plus Porter who's already making a name for himself, i think their offense will be explosive. Lets just see how K. Collins does this upcoming season.

Yeah, but they defeated the Eagles in the one game that matters ;)

F. Mitchell WHO!!! Look i aint tring to argue about this, But i knew that you would say that after i said that about pats :) Yeah the pats beat the eagles, barely, Mcnabb played worthless that day, maybe it was the pressure of the game or maybe it was the D, but i know this upcoming season it will be a different story, Patriots are this Years Champs, but will be next years Chumps. I say the Raiders will be the reason that the pats don't make it to the playoffs. :D I am kidding, i think the pats will make it to the playoffs but no further, i don't think they will 3peat.

HA HA
Actually, I do believe that they will win again this year. All the teams that play the Pats usually say the same thing: they barely beat us. The truth of the matter is that the Pats do the little things that win ball games. They rarely blow anyone away, because they don't have to - and that's not their game. Their game is to do +1. Whatever you do, they will do it - plus one. Look at their win total for the past two years and see how efficient they are at it. The bottom line is that these guys simply know how to win. They expect to win. Not cocky about it, just healthy self confidence. And with this coaching staff backing them up, it's almost unfair :)
God I love that team...
It's been determined...Oakland is back in business. The Pats better watch out, now they have both the Colts and the Raiders to worry about. Yes, Randy Moss will be that effective.

Actually in the past 4 years, the pats and eagles have the same win loss record. I think with C. Buckhalter coming back from a season ending injury our run game will be back. He will make our play action very dangerous.

I don't think that can even be close to correct, since the Pats went further in postseason than the Eagles did. Therefore the Pats played more games - and won more games - than the Eagles in that period of time...

Actually if you watched the super bowl then you would have heard that, before the super bowl the eagles had 1 more win than the pats did, but since the pats beat the eagles, were tied in wins and losses for the past 4 years

Still, I shall take comfort in the arrogance of boasting that in the past four years, the Pats have won 3 superbowls to the Eagles'... none. Not to mention that winning 21-straight games had never been done before until the Pats accomplished it.
I am looking forward to seeing the Eagles and the Pats battle it out again in this upcoming SB!

Just to prove my point and cuz i had nothing else to do i went ahead and double checked, both philly and New England had 48wins and 16 losses in the past 4yrs, even with their 21 game win streak they still havent passed us, they just knew they had to catch up with us (Eagles).
Heres the website (http://www.nfl.com/standings) just incase you want to check yourself. Count back the years from the 01-04 season's. I know that we have not won one super bowl in the past four years, but atleast i can say we were contenders for the past four years, and not Win a super bowl then go 9-7 and miss the playoffs. :D

I can't say I follow your logic: your team basically lost the one game that mattered in their season *4 seasons in a row* and you feel that you can talk smack about a team that has won 3 of the last 4 *biggest* games? The word ludicrous comes to mind.
And to add that this team of chokers - literally, as it comes to McNabb - was the team that the afore-mentioned *winners* were trying to catch up with? Now that is pure fun.
Tell you what: when the Eagles actually win a game that matters, I will listen. In the mean time, this league is ruled by the Pats. Period. You may not like it, but deep down you know it's true. And that takes nothing away from the team you support. As I said in a previous post, I do believe that they will be on top of the NFC again this coming season. Just not the top of the NFL is all :D

Whoa whoa whoa, hold on Luda-choke, i am not talking smack, i just pointed out facts. All i said was that the Eagles and Pats have the same win, lose record for the past 4 seasons of this new decade. Your right on one thing, about us being on top of the NFC, your wrong about us not being top of the NFL next season, i don't see your pats doing anything this year, or the next too come, your too big headed right now, but thats fine. I will pitty you when you are heart broken when you realize they should have handled the cap better and kept law and Brown. The pats will have to do either pay cuts or release/trade more b4 this upcoming season. 6million is not enuff to do anything, plus contracts are up and nogiating will be going on. :D Pats will have another 9-7 year. Jets will dominate their division.

Don't pity. There's no need. I was a Pats fan when they stank, I am a Pats fan now that they rock, I will be a Pats fan in 10 years when they finally stop winning straight SBs :)
Brown? No one loves Troy Brown more than NE fans, I will tell you that right now. But the man was simply now worth $5 Million next year. And you think that keeping him and Law would have made sense from a cap stand point? Dude, I thought you knew football from the talks we'd been having.
Big headed? Do you know anything about the PAts? They are characterized by one thing: playing as a humble team. You don't see any prima donas addicted to fame and individual adulation on that team... say, like TO ;)
I have no fear that as long as BB is at the helm, there will be no such demise. The one thing that can bring the Pats down is this: the loss of Tom Brady to an injury. That's it.
You don't see them doing anything next year? They are returning the same team :D Law? Ty Law was not even on thr field most of last year. The team did not skip a beat. That's right: the TEAM...
But that's cool. As long as people look at the Pats the way you do, they will continue to be what they are: a winning team that knows how to get it done and does not screw up the 2-minute offense at the end of a super bowl...
What's that sound? Oh yeah, that's McNabb dry-heaving as he relives that horrible ending...

I find you very humoring to me, as of right now their returning as the same team. I do not look down at the pats, i never have, they are a great team, but thats it. I agree that Mcnabb should have done better clock management, if he would have then you would not be sitting right here arguing with me about the pats. And about your statement on how their returning as the same team, well they returned the same team in 2003 and they did nothing, they went 9-7 and fell short of the playoffs, so that means what to me! Nothing. You must not know anything about the eagles, we get critized more than the pats do, we got loud mouth Mitchell who talks shit and does nothing to back it up, we have T.O. the most Feared WR in the game who can back his shit up, played with a broken fibula, 2 screws in his ankle and still pushed your corners like they were rag dolls, Then we have Mcnabb who is calm and collective in every situation and does not say anything bad about nobody, but yet he still get's critized for it, sure he fucked up in the last final minutes of the super bowl, but i forgive him for he will get us back their many years to come. I have hope for my team, expect them to be champs this season, like my sig say, Eagles vs Colts, No pats. And if you think that a man who played both position well like brown did and is only worth 5mill, then he needed to be released, let another team appreciate his talent, it will bite them in the ass next year. And for someone who has watched football his whole life (me), son i do know a few things about football, just because i don't agree on your comments then that automatically means i don't know football, Right. For a team that's suppose to be humble and never talk smack, you sure the one be doing it for them. Nice talking to you. :D

1. I ain't your son. If I were, you'd be smarter :D
2. TO is a great player... whom I do not want on my team. We don't need players like that. He did not push anyone like rag dolls. The man finished with how many TDs again? None, you say? I see... I already gave him props for his playing, BTW. I still think he's a punk.
3. The year they did not make the playoffs, we both know why that is. The AFC East - which they won that year - was the toughest conf in the league. Because of the fact that some obscure rule prevailed, the Browns got to the playoffs - and promptly lost, I might add. I don't think anyone in their right mind would disagree that the Pats that year were a better ball team than the Browns. Hands down.
4. The fact that they lost their focus that year is the very reason why it won't happen again.
5. Nobody knows what will happen this year. But barring injuries, I like our chances much better than anyone else's.
6. Me, talking smack? But of course! I am not under gag order from BB, so I can pretty much say whatever I want :)

To put this debate to a rest, your right if you were my son you would be better looking :D , T.O. is not a punk, just because he embarrasse's corners and safties does not make him a punk. I say your wrong when you say the pats have the best chance to go back, when you got the steelers, jets, colts,RAIDERS,lol, Chargers that are just as hungry if not hungrier. You just lost your two best weapons, Crennel and weis, lets see how Brady does without his BF and the Defence does without Crennel, the browns will keep the pats in check. BUt in all seriousness, the pats can make it to the super bowl but i just don't see it happening, the salary cap will not let it happen. I think we have blown this thread to shit!!!

This said, I think if this team earned anything, it is respect when it comes to their ability to adapt in face of loss. No team has lost more players via injury than the pats yet maintained that level of incredible achievement. They are winners. Period. Should be a fun season!

CaRolina going all the way to the super bowl again this time with a faster secondary and more aware secondary(remebers droped interception on Bradys last drive of XXXVIII by 3rd string DB). D-Line intact, RB's stay healthy and we get a replacement for musin, and with the gift of a genius of a general manager we will get the right personel in the draft, and Peppers will abuse NE and i mean any quaterback.
beside even if the black hole has moss now it dont mean shit if they dont have a qb that can actaully throw the ball to him w/o pressure a.k.a. collin fuckin sucks thats y we droped his ass. :p

2000 for starters thanks for adding a T.O. fan to the masses. 2nd, we were talkin bout the raiders goin to the superbowl werent we? We r going to have a dez O-line next year, hopefully foster wont get hurt and he will be piling on the amazing yardage u guys doubtin and all will be like . that is if we keep our center after the 'roids, besides we cant go rong in the draft, WR Williamson who would basically replace Mahamad as far as hieght and playmakin is concerned or TE Miller and we would suddenly have the EndZone threat that stops us from getting TD when the Run,run, pass, punt(kick) philosohy doesn't work. And as far as phili, Westbroke is automaticaly contained and with 3 talented DB's in Chris Lucas, Ricky Manning Jr.(bet Phily fans last year hated that name), and the Chris Gamble the rookie corner that also lead the NFC in INT's will all be competing for a starting job not to mention the depth at safty. Julius Peppers will be some1 to actually fear now that he had the mutation in the second half of last years season. Not to mention the rest of the front seven. Talk to me after the draft and i will tell u what the deali is cuz of right now we r straped defensive wise but ur right about the offense, Rb is iffy, WR is iffy becuz of the lack of depth and shortness, 2/5 of the O-line is IFFY, and TE is iffy that only leaves FB(who were are RB's last year we were so fucked[r fullback wasnt doing all that bad opposed to tomilson in the SD game until mistakes took away like 10 points, and every1 knows about Goings] and QB is solid.
