Once again, possible a repost as this joke has been around a while, but anyway...here goes:
The little rascals are having a spelling bee, the rule of which are to say the word, spell, and then use it in a sentence. The teacher calls on Alfalfa first and give him the word "sweet"
"Sweet, S-W-E-E-T. Darla is sweet." Which is correct and he is told to sit.
Next the teacher calls Spanky and gives him the word "nice".
"Nice, N-I-C-E. Darla is nice." Which is correct and he is told to sit.
Next the teacher calls Buckwheat and gives him the word "dictate".
"Dictate," replies Buckwheat, "D-I-C-T-A-T-E. Darla said my dictate good."
