Kurt Warner has now signed a 1 year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. If you ask me, this team is developing in one of the most top notch offenses in the NFL. Warner + Fitzgerald + Boldin = a solid unit. Marcel Shipp is injury prone, but I believe he's a fine running back. I'm putting this offense as sleepers as of now.

Warner is washed up, it was a bad choice. They should've gone for Brad Johnson. Although he too is washed up, he's still got some game left in him.

Warner is still decent, there was no reason to bench him in New York, aside from the development of Eli Manning, and besides, he was doing well in New York, its not his fault the line couldnt block anything. Warner still has a rifle of an arm, and with 2 big time receivers, he's going to do well.

warner could still be good
i am a giant fan, i like warner and he played okay only problem is he is too fearless and will stay in the pocket with the ball unprotected util he gets hits. THat equals to fumbles, line gave up some sacks where the ball shouldve been long gone from his hands. You could either blame that on the recievers not getting open or him not finding reads, which was the case all too often. He is a nice player still with a gun but this is nothing more then a solid signing and wont put your team over the top.

We all saw Warner couldn't do crap with a hell of an offense in St Louis. They had to bench him for Bulger because of it. In New York, he had a TD:INT ratio of 3:2. His numbers were comparable to 2002 in St Louis

Right, he just led them to 2 Superbowls, and won 1. Thats not that big of a deal though.

I meant on his last years out. He was a great QB when he was the MVP (obviously), but then he turned into a has-been, and the stats show that.

No. The Lions are building an offense. Roy Williams was great this year and was a rookie, Kevin Jones started playing great towards the end, and Joey Harrington needs one more year. For the Cardinals to get a good offense they need to get a rid of their coach, he's an idiot.

the reason for that were the concusions and the finger injury, he is still past his prime but could be very good.

I think it'd be fairly entertaining to see Dennis Green QB for them this year.

I'm a Rams fan and I don't think this is good for us, Warner coming back to our division. We'll have to see him 2 times and I think this guy can still play, perhaps I'm still blinded by the way he was in 99-01, but I think he can make a difference in AZ. In any case, I don't think he's a step backwards at all for that team.

I agree to a certain extent, i was really surprised the way warner played with the giants, the last two games that he had with the giant were a we bit slugish, but i think this is his last chance to show people that he aint washed up. I think that if he still wants a starting job in the NFL he better make this year his best.

Not to toot the Pats' horn - like that would ever enter my mind ;) - but Warner has not been the same since he got blitzkrieged by the Pats during SB 36... yet another QB they own, to put in the same category as Drew Bledsoe and PayMeATon Whining, among others...

You think that the pats own Manning, which i think is funny, you sure didn't own him when you almost lost the first game of the season, if anything that owns manning its bad weather, if they get homefield this year, the pats will not own noone, wait, pats wont even make the playoffs this year, i forgot, andy anderson my wheather forcaster told me so.

Keyword: almost. Yeah, the Pats own him. And it's easy to do too. Piss him off from the start of the game, then watch his body language tell you the story. I fear that guy not. Anytime we play that team, I know that BB & Co will design a game plan that will sicken Manning until he concedes defeat and hangs his big noggin down. Never fails, either.

Thats amusing, xbox your a cool guy, but yet you do not realize you don't have Crennel and Weis anymore (http://www.patriots.com/games/index.cfm?ac=GameDetails&EID=819) but i still wish them the best of luck on this upcoming season. i just had to that, sorry.

Boy, those two guys were /are good, no doubt about that. Hell, I wonder why the NFL didn't warm up to them before they did. Weis at ND will do a great job. RAC doesn't know how NOT to go a great job. I am psyched for them, they deserved it.
But as long as we have BB and Pioli, Mangini and Dante S., we'll be fine. Not to say that we won't miss those guys, but I do believe that the Pats have what it takes to move on and be competitive at the highest level, both in terms of player personnel and coaching staff.

So yeah, Kurt Warner should do well in Arizona, but I think Brad Johnson would have been a better fit. Think about it, in Tampa Johnson was throwing to Keyshawn Johnson, Keenan McCardell, and Joe Jurevicius, big receivers that are known more for catching and overpowering than burning a defender down the field, much like Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin.
In St. Louis Warner worked with small, speed receivers and Marshall Faulk in his prime. In Arizona he gets Troy Hambrick and Marcell Shipp, two guys that make Maurice Clarett look like a world-class sprinter.
Cardinals will be a sleeper team like the Panthers. In a few hundred years they will be Superbowl Champs.

Kurt Warner is too old. The Cards would be better off getting a new young QB from next year's draft.
GO INDIANS/BROWNS!!!!!

It will actually be the Yankees beating the Braves. Sorry Boston
Nah, the Yankees are now officially chokers and cheaters. Look at Sheffiled, Giambi and their Roid mess, and AROD and his bush league play...

I believe Lion fans always say "Next year will be Joey Harringtons year", when it still hasent shown, I've seen him play year after year, and he doesnt impress me the least bit. He's just an example of a quarterback who will always struggle, no matter how long he's been playing. He should stick with piano.

Deffintly, if he dosnt play almost exact to what he was before he wont be starting in the nfl. He could go be a star in Arena though

That may be true but i do think he will improve. And even if he dosnt, hes not Ryan Leaf, so i think hes happy.
