View Full Version : Seeding picks...

Right now, I only see three solid No. 1 seeds:
1. Illinois (the loss to Ohio State is irrelevant, they're the top one seed).
2. North Carolina.
3. Wake Forest.
Duke will not receive a 1 seed due to the fact that UNC and WF will get one seeds.
If Kentucky wins the SEC tournament, the Wildcats will be the fourth one seed.
If Duke were to win the ACC tourney, then either Wake will drop to the highest 2, or Duke will get the highest 2 (Which would be more likely, who wouldn't salivate at another potential UK-Duke Elite Eight thriller?).
Boston College, Oklahoma State and Kansas are the other two seeds, in that order.
If Louisville wins the C-USA tourney and Kansas loses, then UofL will be the last No. 2 seed.
So here's what we are potentially looking at in the Elite Eight:
Illinois vs. Kansas/Louisville
North Carolina vs. Oklahoma State
Wake Forest vs. Boston College
Kentucky vs. Duke
This is shaping up to be a great March.
Post your predictions.

i say either UNC or UK will win it. ILL i think is an outstanding team but i don't think they will recover in time from their lose in my opinion, now if they would have lost a couple games back then i would say them, i think they got too big headed and with this loss it has devastated them. UK on the other hand if they can keep playing as a whole then i think they have an excellent shot, and UNC, what else is their to say, i was scared their for a min win they played duke, but they won still and i think thats the other team that i think will win. Either way i am rooting for UNC and UK. If ILL wins then i will be surprised.

I'd like to think that UK will win it, but I'm a Cat fan thinking realistically. Patrick Sparks, our clutch player, made some pretty fucked-up follies on Sunday. Now, that doesn't mean he'll do it every game, but it is enough to make me worry...
Now granted, Florida is a good team and is now a solid lock for the tourney, and losing to them on the road won't hurt Kentucky much, if at all, but still, I can't help but worry.
I do have absolute confidence that UK will win the SEC Tourney, it's basically the UK Invitational Tournament.

2. Oklahoma State
3. Louisville
3. Connecticut
3. Arizona

Bold team is my sleeper final four team. I haven't seen too much of them, but I've liked what I've seen, and I expect them to go places. Salim Stoudamire looks like the real deal.

For some reason, I see Boston College losing early, so that's my big upset for this Tourney already.

Is it really an upset if the team's not that great to begin with? I mean sure they're good, but upsets are usually surprising and since we all expect them to lose I'm not sure it would really be much of an upset.

Officially, it would be an upset.
Florida beating Kentucky was an upset, but I kind of had a feeling the entire week it was going to happen.

There ranked #7 though in the nation, so it would be a huge upset. I just have a feeling that they will go down.
