Ive played SS my whole life (I havent even played for 2 years tho) but I'm going to tryout as an OF.

I was the youngest to make the legion team and Ive had great success with my bat, the D is there but the arm lacks (which is exactly what they look for)

But yeah im decent, its basically all going to come down to my arm strength so if I dont make it this year I will know what to work for next year.

No you probably have to continue going to a lot more tryouts, and maybe be placed on some sort of, practice team, so they can see how you play in real game situations, then if they still like you, then they might sign you and put you in rookie ball.

Pretty much.

They have you come to these tryouts to see how your fundamentals/mechanics are and then decide if you have something they like.

After they make the first few cuts if your still left they invite you back for a "scrimmage" game or two.

if you perform decent, depending on their needs, you have a half assed shot of getting signed on to a rookie team or maybe even A if you are good enough,

The road to the MLB is probaly the longest of all sports, and I think even if I do make it that chances are good I probaly wont ever see the big show.

But hey, if a guy plays baseball 9 months out of the year whos to say he cant improve enough to take a bigger step.

I appreciate the well wishing alot but honestly guys I highly doubt I will make, especially this year.

Next year tho, remember I havent played in 2 years and I need a way better weight program and tons more BP before I want to go places.

But yeah fuck, anyone can try out, just make sure your not rusty and you are in decent shape.

If my arm gets a little stronger and I can keep my hitting up with the big boys I dont think there should be a problem with me at least advancing to AA ball sometime.
