HELP
A few days ago I clicked a link on another website that directed me to a porn site(I didn't know it did that) I've tried ajusting the security settings, clearing history and cookies but nothing works - its still in the cookies so when I click the dropdown menu at the top of the page, that site is always there, I wouldn't normaly bother, but its on my dads comp. Has anybody any ideas on how to delete it?

if your talking about the history on internet explorer, click tools then internet options. You will see History on the bottom, click on Clear History .. Voila !!
if thats not it let me know
EDIT: ahh shit u said u tried clearing the history .. umm thats a hard one, Spyware won't remove that link in your Browser but will remove unwanted shit downloaded on your pc .. what dropdown menu are you clicking on ?? address box ? or favorites ? or explore that folder C:\Documents and Settings\computer name\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ and delete anything in that folder

Thats how spyware works. Download Microsoft Anti-Spyware, do a scan, and make sure it deletes anything bad it finds. It should now protect your computer using real time protection, and next time you go to "that site" it should block it.

I have sort of the same problem. My suggestion is use netscape. Everytime I open IE about:use comes up as my homepage with 1000's of popups. I cannot change it. Its some stupid trojan. I am too lazy to fix it. So try a virus scan and see if that is the problem.
