All emo sounds exactly the same.

No. You're incorrect. You're saying that a whole genre of music sound the same.

Thats like saying all country music sounds the same. :shuffle:

I just recently heard a Snoop song that i thought was "Vapors" for the longest time, but it wasn't. Any idea? Not that i care.

Emo doesnt sound the same. Music in a similar genre sounds similar, however. Otherwise it would be in a different genre.

It might be just me, but every time the song "Cold Hard Bitch" by Jet comes on the raido, I wait and listen to the intro thinking it is some kick ass AC/DC song, then quickly turn the station pissed off after realizing that it is the same boring overplayed song by the overhyped band Jet.

I forget what the song is called but Crosby Stills and Nash did a song and its almost identical to Stairway to Heaven by Led Zepplin, i heard somewhere Zepplin somewhat ripped CSN's song but i forget the name :-/

Brainstew/Constantine:

"Sad But True" and "American Badass" both use Hammett's riff. Kid Rock got permission from the band, and in doing so angered a lot of the diehard Metallica fans.

A-FUCKING-MEN! I actually heard someone comparing Jet as the new Led Zeppelin, I promptly cut off his balls so he couldn't pass on his seed to father any future dumbasses.

The only thing I dont really like about Jet is that they claim that theyre the next AC/DC and Who, when really, they have a couple of good songs, but the rest are snoozers and lame ballads

I was listening to the radio the other day and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" by Green Day came on. Only, when it was time for Billie Joe to start singing, the lyrics to "Wonderwall" by Oasis started playing and it worked perfectly! And at the very end of the song, it segued into "Dream On" by Aerosmith. It was so cool how they made these three songs flow together so perfectly.

"Heaven" by Live sounds like a ripoff of "Yeah!" by Zwan. The only difference is the vocal melody.

"Paperback Writer" by the Beatles and "last train to clarksville" or another song ( can't quite remember) by the Monkees

about comments made about Jet. They are okay but they pissed me off when they said they were/wanted to be bigger than the Beatles and The Who.

It's a sample. There are lots of songs that have samples from old songs. I think they actually buy the rights to sample. Not sure though.

"Sad But True" by Metallica and "American Badass" by Kid Rock sound painfully similar.
yeah i can agree with you on that, the intro part is the same.

Also there is a Fear Factory Song, which i believe is "Invisible Wounds" something in there sounds like some POD song. sorry i can't figure it out the exact sound at the moment, as i try to find it. oh forget it, i'm to lazy to figure it out at the moment, they all sound the same to me but one does sound really familiar. yell at me for being lazy, i don't care. :banghead:

Greenday has made over 100 songs since they began. By the early 90s, they ran out of 4 cord riffs so many of their new songs sound like ones from their early days.

Jet thinks they're the next Who?? Aw hell naw! Now I have to go castrate some assholes.

Lol have fun with that :D :D but yea, i also realized those two bands were similar. Anybody else notice that the Used and the Donnas sound alike? i mean seriously compare their music to each others its pretty...odd

Cro-Mags - Crush the Demoniac (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Szq5lpalC_w) rips off a riff from Iron Maiden - Aces High (http://youtube.com/watch?v=4Sam5omG0v0). Quality blows on that Cro-Mags clip, sorry.

The riff from Behemoth - Conquer All (http://youtube.com/watch?v=38j-i8jH7xk) sounds suspiciously similar to Anthrax - Be All, End All (http://youtube.com/watch?v=fH3eMJmcVww) (ignore vid). There's no non-live versions of the original 1988 song with Belladonna on YouTube, so rerecording it is!

Well, since this thread has been resurrected... These songs all have a similar-ish intro riff:

Venom - Welcome to Hell
Mercyful Fate - Curse of the Pharaohs
Dio - Stand up and Shout
Iron Maiden - Two Minutes to Midnight

Garden of Shadows - Heart of the Corona & Metallica - Trapped Under Ice

Jet has made a career out of ripping off songs. My most hated one is Jet - Look What You've Done and Beatles - Sexy Sadie. They took a whole verse on that one.

Another particularly bad one is that annoying Puddle of Mudd ripping off Suicidal Tendencies - I Saw Your Mummy in the song She Fuckin Hates Me.

Also the riff in Seether - Remedy sounds suspiciously similar to one in a Steve Vai song... I'll see if I can find it.
