Although the title of your post makes no sense, I think I can figure out what your trying to say. Personally I think Eminem has the best, or most poetic, lyrics of any rapper.

Dr. Dre has always been my favourite rapper, though i despise most of the genre except for a select few.

Well, I don't listen to rap nor the lyrics. So I'll go with the only rappers i can tolerate and say either Eazy-E or Bizzy Bone.

Lyrics wise Canibus is definitely the best rapper out right now. Cant wait for his new CD's coming out.
Mine would have to be:
Ludacris: His lyrics are just so catchy and has the best accent ever.
and....
Mos Def: Strong meaning to all of his lyrics

I wasn't trying to be funny. I was simply stating that I think rap does not qualify as music in question form.

Well, I suppose it depends on your definition of music.
To me, music is anything with a melody, beat, and if there are vocals, at least 3/4 of them has to be singing.
Most rap has the beat, and occasionally the melody, but I don't enjoy listening to people talk quickly, even if they are rhyming. It's the same with screaming in music. I don't generally like heavy metal because a lot of it is growling or screaming.

I would have to say Mos Def, Talib Kweli, or Common. All three of them are fantastic storytellers, insanely good rhymers, and incredibly deep. Without a doubt three of the best MCs ever.

Yes, you would be right.
Atleast be honest and just say you dont like it. The metal music that you talk of, I think is totally shit. But I still think its music. Opinion counts for about 99% of you argument.
Eminem is a close second to Tupac.
Heyy i joined this forum just for this section, and i love Rap music its all i listen to, and my fav lyricst has obvs have to be Tupac.

Why the FUCK did you come in here? Can we ever just have a thread for FANS OF RAP without someone coming in and ruining it? If you dont like rap, dont come in the thread made specifically for fans. There have been plenty or rap discussion threads, with plenty of bashing. This isnt one of those threads.
