Need help setting up Wireless Internet in Laptop

Im having trouble setting up High Speed Bell internet in my Laptop. Its a DSL modem and Ive heard a way to set up internet without a wireless router. How is this possible, please help.
O BTW forgot to add, I want my internet in my Desktop and Laptop at the same time, possibly wireless or not wireless doesnt matter.

Some do/some don't. If your laptop has a PCMCIA card bus slot on the side, chances are that you need a wireless card which fits right in there.

And, you will need a wireless router. That's just the way it goes.

You can't have wireless internet without a wireless router connected to your DSL modem. Once you have your router all set up and ready, you'll need a wireless PCMCIA card. There's usually a slot on the left about 2 inches wide for it. Usually the card will automatically detect the signal from your router, but you will have to click Connect to use it.

you dont need a router, you can just steal others signals, or go to a hotspot (ie, hostpital, cafe, airport)
