Actually I think it's more clear if you say it like this:

Hungry and Angry are two words that in "-gry".
There are only three words in The English Language, what's the third word?

This way, it's easier to explain afterwards, and you can just tell them the first sentence was just to confuse them. This is how it's written on Dictionary.com
