im trying to play a video that works for everyone else, except me. the video is an .mpg file, btw. i tried playing it in windows media and winamp, and still doesnt work. someone? :help:

Dunno what to tell ya about that. It could possibly be you dont have the proper codec to play(read) the material you are trying to view. If that is the case you can get onto any p2p network and search for "codecs." or "mpg codec" I'm sure one of them would work, but i dont know why you would need a specific codec for an mpg because it is a pretty common file. If you still can't get it to work i dont know what to tell ya. Sorry.

i have quicktime, and when i try to play via quicktime i get "invalid format" error. my windows media player doesnt even load up for some reason, and winamp doesnt do anything when i try to play it. i downloaded and installed codecs from microsoft.com and the video still doesnt play.

no clue about this, but it is annoying as all hell..

Ok, I got Windows Media to work and I get this message when i try to open the video.. "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file."

WtF? :shout:
