Seems that lately these Flash ads, with sound, have been all over this forum. I don't see this ads, for various reasons.
But, I do, for one, think that it isn't fair for 98% of the people here to have to go through that.
Sure, you can get Firefox and block it, or, you could just turn off your speakers. But, that's not the point. You shouldn't have to do that.
Oh well, I guess there's nothing you can do but block the ads.

Or ebaums could charge everyone that comes to the site and then not have to worry about running costs.

I don't blame ebaum, sites need $$ and ads=$$.
But the advertisers...WTF are they thinking? If you want someone to look at your product, is pissing them off the best way to go?

Yeah, that's really annoying, annoying enough were I had to punch a little kid in the back of the head today just to relieve some stress. By the way you guys are wrong, it's not every 4 seconds, it's every 12 seconds. But still, really really annoying non-the-less.

they dont intend to piss you off with the ad(they might, if theyre that sinister) but the whole purpose of the sounds it to get your attention, so that you cant help but look at what is making that damned noise, thats what theyre shooting for, is for you to notice their advertisement.

No I get that too.
I think the rub here, is that ads like that are usually in a rotation with other ads, so visitors don't see them on every page, whereas here, they are this week's ad.

You guys keep saying get Firefox to block the ads, but doesn't this site get money when people click the ads? If everyone used that solution, no one would be clicking the ads. Even worse, non-annoying ads would be blocked as well. And when the fly ad goes away, you think anyone is gonna waste time and unblock the ads? Right...
Is that really smart? I'm not gonna tell anybody what to do, but if it were up to me, I'd get rid of those ads. It's a no win situation. Either someone gets pissed off and leaves the site, or they get firefox and block the ads. Either way, they're not seeing the ads. There are no other options for me because I come here for videos and they are unviewable while that stupid fly is buzzing.
No one cares about this, or what?
It's not hard to block ads, everyone who complains about them fails at the internet. The net is what you make it, I have ZA suite with free antivirus and product updates for the next 52,000 days. I see no ads, even before I was a mod and I've always used IE.
