There is a drop off in the middle of the table, and he places them on the lower platform where they can't be seen. This is seamless because of the completely black table.

Wow guys come on, there has already been a topic about this in the video section i believe because it was here before today. Second of all..if you look in there, there is an explantion of it by a guy that does magic..he's almost pretty sure. I do believe him because just watch what he does. There is only 4 cards and he lifts up more than one to show u the middle cards instead of the tops everytime.

There really isn't anything magic about card tricks at all. I mean sure the trick looks cool, but doing something like that isn't gonna get him laid.... now if he bongs 4 beers at once..... that'll get him laid and if it doesnt im sure he had a damn good night.

I don't understand why this is such an amazing trick?

Solution: Use four 2H cards...

He only has four cards: the 2 of hearts, 10 of spades, King of diamonds, and King of clubs. Slight of hand magic is so amazing, just like that video. Props to that guy!

I think it's crazy how people can learn how to fool the eye, and get away with it. I wish I was magical! :bang: :help:

whats really cool is that he can use any 4 ards so he can take a deck from the audience and perform it.

As was said above, it's a double-lift.

He's very good at it. So is David Blaine.

There was another card trick, I think it was posted on this website, the guy was real fancy, he was old and british, I can't seem to find it anymore, but it was more amazing than this one, he was very skilled.

well that one isnt as much slight of hand as it is props:/ he shoves the cards under that rag on the table

I have basically figured it out. He does not displace card under the table or anything. Please note my comment after step 28. KC= king of clubs, KD= king of diamonds. Here it is:

1) Deal 4 (starting from first card dealt to last card dealt)- 2-card,10,kd,kc
2) show 2-card on bottom
3) reverse by moving bottom 3 to top, middle 2 to top, 2nd card to top
4) show 2-card on top
**ORDER SHOULD NOW BE 2-card,10,kd,kc**
5) move middle 2 cards to bottom making it look like first is being put on bottom
6) flip top 2-card AND show
7) fan out bottom 3 to show none are overturned
8) move 2-card to 2nd from bottom while cards are fanned (not supposed to look magical)
9) flip top 3 to show 2-card
10) discard top card
11) flip top 2 to show 2-card
12) move top 1 to bottom
13) show 2-card
14) move 2-card to 2nd from bottom making it look like it is being put on the bottom
15) flip top 2 to show 2-card and flip back around
16) discard top 1
17) show 2-card on top
**DO NOT SHOW OTHER CARD**
18) put 2-card under remaining bottom 1
19) move those 2 cards to the bottom of the dicarded pile
**10 MUST BE 3rd CARD**
20) flip top 3 to show 10
21) slide top 1 over and flip 2nd two as 1 card to show 10 as the 2nd card
22) slide top 2 over and flip 3rd card to show 10 as 3rd card
23) shoot 10 out and flip to show as 4th card
24) put 10 on bottom
25) hold 10 and slide top card off into other hand and show 10
26) hold 10 and slide top card off into other hand and show 10
27) hold 10 and slide top card off into other hand and show 10
28) move 10 to top of other hand of discarded cards
**ORDER SHOULD NOW BE 10,2,kc,kd. THIS IS NOT CORRECT THOUGH AS THE 2 AND THE KC SHOULD BE SWITCHED AROUND**
29) move bottom 2 to top AND flip to show kd
30) discard top 1
31) move bottom 2 card to top and flip to show kc
32) discard top card
33) flip bottom 1 AND show as kd
34) flip remaining card to show as kc

Nah. He needs 2 cards of the same rank and different colour, otherwise he couldn't do the last part (where he shows '4' kings).

yes he can
He if you look close he appears to have 2 kings of clubs and 2 of diamonds it works the same with all the other ones.

Did you even see my post? He has ONE 2 of hearts, ONE ten of spades, ONE king of clubs, and ONE king of diamonds. When he supposedly puts down one of the kings, he is actually putting down the card on top of it. You see, when he flips and shows a king, it is actually the bottom card of a pile of two cards. He shows the same TWO kings twice and hopes that the person will not notice the fact that they are not the same kings he showed before. I am telling you, my prior post in pretty accurate. I went through and did the steps I posted and was able to do this guy's trick, however not nearly as smoothly as he did.

yes he can
He if you look close he appears to have 2 kings of clubs and 2 of diamonds it works the same with all the other ones.

So he has 2 Kings of different colours. As I said in my previous post "2 cards of the same rank and different colour".
By '2 cards of the same rank' I mean two 2s, or two 3s, or two jacks, etc.

So by pulling out 4 random cards it's fairly unlikely that you'll get 2 of the same rank every time you try the trick ;)

Therefore the cards he chose must have been pre-selected. :)

Oh okay. Yea, he no doubt chose those cards specifically because he had to have 1 pair in his hand.

That's what I just said, but in more words ;)

Dontdropthesoad

who said the trick needed a pair?

It works out even if you use 4 different cards, the goal is to make every card appear to be the same :wtf:
