Converting wmv. video to .mov

To my knowledge, the only way to do that (I'm not even sure if you can do it with this) is Quicktime.

They have programs you can get. Some are free, some are trial. Some you can do any file to any file, but they cost money. One place you should try is google (http://www.google.com). I couldnt find anything for .wmv to .wmv, but i'm sure some crappy program will show up. If I find anything later ill let you know. But for most of my conversions, i use Vegas Video 3.0, and if i have to, but i dont like, windows movie maker (which is free).

I don't know of a program that does it directly, but it's possible with a couple of conversions. First you need to convert the .wmv into .avi and for that there is a free program. Go to http://www.stoik.com/downloads/ Scroll down to where it says Freeware and download the Stoik Video Converter 2.1 With that, you will be able to convert the .wmv into .avi Once you have the .avi, you can convert that into .mov with Quicktime 6.5 or higher. A free version of Quicktime will not do it. You can download version 6.5 from www.isohunt.com You will need Bit Torrent installed.

You can also check for more conversions at www.videohelp.com Although they do not have the guide directly for .wmv to .mov, you can always convert to other formats that can convert to the final format you wish. Too many conversions can cause quality loss, so using the optimum formats and convertors should be seeked.
