Sorry if this is a repost but i need some free music editing/mixing software. My band just recorded a song on our Fostex mr8. All we pretty much need is to mix the guitar/vocals/bass. Reps to anyone who supplies a good link or idea  .

This is a little late, but for simple single-track editing, look for a program called "goldwave." It's a neat little program and you can do pretty much everything you'd ever need to in the way of noise reduction, hiss removal, effects, etc...
If you're looking to master the recording and do multi-track editing/clipping, I suggest you check out Cool Edit. It's a good program for one that's on a more commercial market. However, if you guys are really serious about editing and doing further recording in the future, you should consider investing in either Cakewalk Studio, Pro Tools, Logic, or Final Cut (more for film scoring/timecoding, etc...). These are all programs I use and recommend for anyone who wants to produce a commercial-level professional sounding recording.
