later Beatles (even though all Beatles rocks) because i absolutely fricking love Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart club Band. Listen to it, full length, at least twice a week.

Early Beatles was way to generic and similar for my taste, the happy "la la la love" poppy stuff isn't my style. Beatles got better from Elenor Rigby on.

I like their later stuff. I can't really explain why. I just like the sound better.

EDIT: Psychedelic. That's what I was looking for.

I like the later stuff better: Psychedelic.

What I love about The Beatles is that their music is some of the most psychedelic of all time, yet they are still very popular and mainstream. Makes me wonder if the general population really knows about their drug use.

I love the early Beatles, because I just can't deny it, I love thier poppy stuff, it just made you want to sing to it, it was just pop. BUT, the latter was just fucking gold, it could make a grown man cry.

im new to this board as well as the beatles. Ive just discovered the beatles around feburary of this year. Im a hip hop head by heart, not the bull crap that everyone posts here, true old school and underground. Anyway.......id pick the later beatles. Their early songs are pretty corny to me. Everything from rubber soul on to abbey road is classic. In my opinion, the White Album is the greatest album of all time.

The early Beatles were lucky just to have been able to get everything they had: George Martin, EMI, Brian Epstein, and people who happened to adore them. They were not revolutionary until 1966 Revolver, they were just a normal band that made some catchy tunes.

But Revolver is a whole different story. So post-Revolver would the era of them I like most, my favorite albums being Revolver and Sgt. Pepper.
