Well with the final 2 weeks today I thought I would get opinions and predictions off everyone.

Liverpool vs AC Milan

I just got my ticket today.... £560 for the flight and a match ticket and Im so lookin forward to it.

I honestly dont know who will win this game bcoz it is just that, 1 game, I think its 50-50 and will go either way.
Milan are a far better side than Liverpool, we arent even in the same league as them but in a one off game of football we can beat anybody and we will be massive underdogs which will work in our favor as all the pressure will be on Milan.

A good omen for the final is Liverpool are playing in their red kit and Milan are playing in all white..... Liverpool have won the European Cup 4 times and every one of those times we have played in all red against a team in all white.

PSV proved to everyone that if you go at Milan they are beatable, I think thats the tactic we will have to employ bcoz as good as our defence has been in europe this season we havent yet had to contend with the best striker in the world Schevchenko or the brilliance of Kaka'.

If we win the final I will probably die from celebrating too much but if we loose I wont be too disheartened bcoz after all we are playing arguably the best team in the world and theres no shame in getting beat in the final by a better side.
If we do loose I put 5 quid on Milan at the start of the tournament at 10-1 so I will win 50 quid which will help pay the astronomical debt Im gonna be in when I get back.

I will do a pictures thread when I get back with pics of Istanbul, Im looking forward to seeing this stadium too bcoz its supposed to be the dog's proverbials.

Predictions and opinions please.

Although Liverpool have done fucking fantastically to get this far, I just can't see them beating Milan, although, being Italian, they do have alot of cockiness. And they have a completely different way of playing, more emphasis on defence. I think that will benefit Liverpool.

Have a great time, I reckon 3-2 Milan.

I agree with quiet_riot, it won't be as high scoring as 3-2, but in my opinion, it will be 2-1...but it could go either way.

AC, as mentioned, are a way better team than liverpool, but if liverpool can beat both Juventus and Chelsea, then surely they can beat any team.

I want Liverpool to win...
But sadly, im being pessimistic and going for AC Milan to win.
Only time will tell.
And James Bond, do have fun!

I will be taking time off work to watch the final (Yank here, ESPN2 airs the CL matches at 2pm). I wanted Chelsea to take the CL cup, but if it's between AC and Liverpool, I really would rather see Liverpool take it, especially since their domestic season foundered so. If 'Pool comes out of the gates like they did against Juventus they could win. If they play as cagey as they did against Chelsea they'll crumble.

I think Liverpool do have some things really working their way:
-Xabi Alonso should be back now, he only had to sit out the Chelsea 2nd leg, correct?
-Gerrard seems to be recommitted to Anfield (for at least one more season) so he'll difinitely bring his game for this match
-I hear Cisse willl probably start this weekend so he should be 100% fit come the 25th, right? Send than whining Baros packing already Benitez!
-Hamman, Carragher and Traore were quite impressive defensively and should be able to shut down AC's attack

I think Liverpool have the pace to create a surprise of a surge into AC (as they did against Chelsea with their winning 'goal') ala Luis Garcia. It should be quite a match.

If PSV proved anything in it's matches against Milan, it's that Milan doesn't need to be better to win, it just needs it's opponent to make one mistake. Since both sides don't deserve to get as far as they got and they took out my two of my favorite teams (PSV and Chelsea) I'm not really pulling for either one team, but since someone has to win, I guess Liverpool'ld be the better team, as atleast they try to play good football. But for Liverpool to win they have to score early in the game and make no mistakes, it's do-able, but if you don't your finished...

I know its unbelievable, but highly amusing. Wonder what odds you would have got on that?
I knew Arsenal would win comfortably (I said 3-0) to a mate but 7!!!!
It makes it that much harder to swallow knowing they finished above Liverpool, Everton have been excellent all season but fuckin hell Liverpool are a far better side than them and Everton are in the Champions league next season whilst we will be in the UEFA cup...... Whats the world coming to?

Well I garan-fuckin-tee next season we will finish atleast 10 points ahead of Everscum.
If Everscum finish above us next season I will get a tattoo saying "Toffee til I die"

Arive in Istanbul around 3.30pm their time, the game kicks off at 9.45 their time so that gives us around 6 hours of hard drinking and sight-seeing before the game, I just hope the only sight-seeing we do is of the city not the inside of a Turkish jail. We fly home the morning after.
