Man U fans are already going mad bcoz they feel let down by John Magnier and JP McManus for selling out to Glazier.
They are very worried about the fact that Glazier has borrowed this money he has invested in Man U and they claim to be the best run football team in the world so dont see the point in a change.

Glazier is no Abramovic so dont think for one minute that United are gonna be able to spend £200,000,000 on players over the next year or two bcoz Glazier doesnt have anywhere near the amount of money Roman has and like I said he has borrowed the money he has used to buy United so United are gonna be like 500,000,000 quid in debt now.

Personaly I dont see how United fans can be so bothered, Glazier is a successful buisnessman and has made the Tampa Bay Buccineers a successful NFL team.

The only problem I see is hes American and doesnt know anything about football, he might sell Old Trafford's name.... They might be playing at the Budweiser Bowl in 2 years lol, maybe there will be cheerleaders and all the gay razzel dazzel you get in American sports.

I am fucking disgusted. Magnier and Mcmanus have fucked us over big time. United are dead, when Glazer gets his 75% plus one share and takes us off the stock exchange and offloads his debt on us, watch the players leave. We are fucked and i will never give the club any money again.

What a sad, sad day not just for Man Utd fans but English football too. If this can happen to the richest club in the world ... who knows what or who will be next.
I can see him bleeding us dry and fucking off. This wont just affect us long term, just imagine how the players and the manager are feeling right now ... pretty unsettled with an FA cup final around the corner.

But there is a small bit of hope, Glazier knows fuck all about football but he does know business. To complete the take over he will take the club into debt, to get out of debt he must start winning because everyone knows he wont make shit from the Man Utd 'product' over in America. My biggest concern isnt the fact he's a business man or the fact that he doesnt support Man Utd but the fact that he doesnt even like football at all.

A couple months back I was very, very against this and I still am in away but I will let this ride first before I go on a killing spree, which could start on June 4th when Im at Old trafford.

What risks will he take with the club to achieve success, if any at all is my question.

see. at least us REAL MANCs, aka city fans, dont have this kind of shit to worry about! :p
You dont have to worry because billionaires arent interested in clubs like City. They want the richest and biggest.

The head of the Supprter's Group said they'll start their own club if need be, and may start boycotting the games because he's gonna raise ticket prices in order to get rid of the debt they already have. I wouldn't be surprised if Man. United goes down, which will be heartbreaking, even for a Chelsea fan.

It will be a shame if they go down bcoz they have big plans for modifying the stadium.....

Being a United Fan, I, like almost all of you, are dissapointed with what's happening :(
But let's try to be optimistic, hope for the best :shuffle:

Glazer won't be running the club, it will be his sons who are apparently life long Untied fans Such big fans they've never even set foot in Old Trafford.

Having had time over the past few days to reflect on it all, I'm sad to say it, the fight is over, we had our chance to get to 25% of the shares since we turned into a PLC. When the club floated we should never have sold holdings in such big chunks (28% ) because that is very dangerous, they should have been limited to under 10% to stop indivuduals having so much power.

Theres talk of fans forming a breakway side, AFC (A fans club) United if Glazer is still in charge.

I think we have to take stock, and see what the summer brings. The club is effectively 250 odd million in 'debt', but if we carry on as we are then the debt will be paid off in ten years or less. The average United fan in Europe spends £15 a year, the average one in Asia spends £1. Glazer will want to increase profitability in the far east and America, if he manages to increase it by a small margin that will pay off the loan each year.

Other fans may well boast and laugh that we're in debt, but in the short term it's bad news for them, because Glazer will give Sir Alex a serious transfer budget. If the club carries on as it is now, we're not in trouble, it's only if we fail to make the champions league for two or three seasons in a row that we will run into trouble. I fear for other premiership clubs because Glazer will push for single club tv deals, meaning United will get the biggest deal while the likes of Tottenham and Newcastle are left with crumbs.

It's not nice having the debt hanging over the club, but we're stuck with it now and there is nothing anyone can do. I'm not happy about it at all, because we're being used simply to make money. To make money from MUFC Glazer knows he will HAVE TO deliver a winning team on the pitch.

I'd also like to say any United fan who could even consider supporting a different premiership side isn't a true fan, you don't just chose a club because it's fashionable and drop it at the first hint of trouble, you follow it forever.

If you are so unhappy you don't think you can support MUFC then follow AFC United or the new club if it forms.

I hope we wont have to resort to making AFC United but if it has to be done it has to be done.
AFC United has been planned since 1997 or something like that, just in case anything like this ever does happen.
I dont know much about this AFC thing but where are we going to get the money and players for this? Will Uniteds current players switch sides as well. Help me out here.
Ive heard people refer to call Man U and "Man Usa" recently, like they did to Chelski.

Serious transfer budget??? From what I have heard Glazer has hinted he will give Fergie £20 million to spend on players in the summer....... 20 million?!!! Thats fuck all, newly promoted Wigan Athletic's chairman Dave Whelan has said he will give Paul Jewell £25 million to spend in the summer.

Also your point about being a true United fan.... They are few and far between, most of the people in Old Toilet every home game are Cockney or Irish day trippers in buisness suits. Most United fans are fickle and about as loyal as Peter Kenyon, if United go tits up Chelski will inherit about 50,000 new fans.

If some hardcore United fans do decide enough is enough and branch off to create AFC United you will see who the real fans are and who the "Prawn Sandwich Brigade" (as Keane so rightly put it) are.
The real fans are the ones who will not tollerate this rape of their beloved club and who will go off and stand on the edge of a muddy field watching AFC United on a pissing down day in Manchester.

I garun-fuckin-tee Liverpool's fans would not tollerate this, we wouldnt stand by and watch some greasy ginger weezel from over the pond come in to try and make a few quid for himself at the risk of the club doing a "Leeds" going into administration and dropping down to the limbo that is championship football; We would be out in our shell-suits robbing cars and setting fire to things lol.

No real football fans would put up with this, I respect the real United fans who for the sake of what they believe is right are protesting at Old Toilet and burning season ticket applications. They are also planning to ruin the FA Cup final next week with a massive pitch invasion..... Hats off to you guys, you may be the scum of the earth but atleast you are standing up for your club and instead of whinning you are actualy trying to do summat about it.

Sorry English friends, but your team is screwed. This is the same buy who ownes the Tampa Bay Bucs. Hardly a well run sports organization. I think if an American had to buy the club, you couldnt have gotten a worse person.

i heard some joker on the news say that "this was totally out of the blue" and that "if we'd seen it coming, maybe we would've bought up the 25%"

now, tell me im wrong, but hasnt glazer been after united for quite some time? so, the "real" fans should have taken his first failed attempt as a kick up the arse and bought up those shares shouldnt they?

Yes - plenty of undesirable people having being trying to buy them for some 5 years now. The first to try was Rupert Murdoch using Sky.

Afc .... haha, biggest bollocks I ever heard.

Since when was splitting the fans and leaving the staff, players and history they so apparrently love behind being loyal ?

Where was this loyalty when Glazer first hinted he was interested in Man U way back when ?
Where were the supporters groups rallying the fans to take a stand and buy some shares back then ?

Shares were two pound odd just before Glazer made his move, if these fans were so loyal .. where were there offers of £20 for 4 shares in the club ?
We have enough fans to buy the club 3 times over between us, so where the fuck were they ? ... they were standing around on the streets burning American flags like they were hardcore fans while Glazer sat and smiled as he bought and bought.

Now Glazer has the club, a few guys who are top of the supports groups put ideas in the heads of people and now its the worst thing ever. I've been watching the fans reactions, interviews, reading their message boards and e-mails .... 80% of them havent a fucking clue what will happen and are just repeating what someone else said.

I am in no way happy Glazer has the club but in this time of need, when the players, staff and fans need to stick together ... what do they do, the very thing the scousers and cockneys have been saying that we do do .... pussy out.

One of the only times that we can show were not glory hunting bastards and what do we do ... pussy out. Did you see the Leeds supports talking such bollocks of starting a new team ?

Yes, Glazer is a businessman and doesnt seem interested in football but lets not jump the ship and bitch and moan, lets push things forward. I dont need to remind you of those moaning cockneys not too long ago when the rumours of some Russian oil bloke was going to buy the club do I ?

Yes, I know Glazer doesnt have half the money of Roman but lets wait and see.
If we do start sinking, lets not be faggoty fucks and start jumping the ship.

Glazers a cunt but lets see what he does.

I think we should all just wait a moment and see what Glazer is going with Man Utd. If he is going to plunder it, as some people think he's going to do, we should all be pissed and not visit Old Trafford again. But if he's the kind of guy that's going to promote them just to sell some more t-shirts and is going to make the production of hot-dogs more effecient... well, I don't really see the problem.

I feel for Man Utd fans, I can understand the pain and suffer Glazer brings with him. First it was Abramovich, proving Money buys Medals, not spirit. Next it's going to be, A man can get extremely rich off sinking the hearts of thousands of fans.

Glazer may well look like a yeti, and he probably will raise ticket prices etc, but let's not forget that it's in his interests for the club to be successful
